    UmpaArt's TIGERBLOOD *WINNING* SB 2.0

Hhhhm? Oh hai! Didn't see you there! Welcome!

I've done a lot of stuff since my last sketchbook. I've progressed to a point where I felt I needed a new one. And since DefiledVisions made a second one, well..I wana be cool too right?

I never stopped making work, just stopped uploading lol. So ya..my work and sketches. Some old for fluff(I'm still terrible at this uploading thing....)

A piece I did for school. Really I'm just experimenting with everything, concept, paint, color theory, style e.t.c.

Here's something I'm working on for a site I frequent:

Ok, lets see how the uploading went, then more uploading.

You don't see too much abstract stuff nowadays. I am no professional, but the book binding/cover alignment is off with the pages of the book, and the right page mass is missing that curve inhibited by the left one; and I am definitely not a good rendered, but the top pages does seem a bit flat. The other painting is really good, I don't even paint that much yet, so you are still ahead of me.

Ok...it looks like it's going ok. Except, I don't like using links because sometimes they don't work but Idk..I guess you could just view all the stuff from attachments if I upload them that way? Idk...More linkys for now:

    Sketches on a pad:

OH. I almost forgot. Most of these are studies. Only a few are original. I can't recall the artists name at the exact moment, but I'll come back and give credit where it's due.
update(end of june lol): I remembered the name of the fellow who drew the illustrative/comicy figures you see below: Patrick Brown, a wonderful artist. If you're ever over at Deviantart he's one of the gems over there.

Here's some stuff I think I posted here at some point I think....And some old stuff...Maybe some new stuff? Idk, I'm just uploading as I sort through this mess lol.

This is one I really enjoyed. I really started to grasp photoshop concepts. I've been busy with school so I haven't had time to do more stuff like it but I want to get more stuff like this done in the coming weeks since school is almost over:

Heya man! should've dropped by earlier. I got your PM and all.. my mind's been a mess lately haha. It's good to see you posting again! Keep them coming. I really dig the experimental piece you did for school. Those pieces where you just try stuff can be very rewarding.

Have the over-all proportions in mind while drawing, some of your pieces seem a bit 'wobbly' because of proportional inconsistency and I see it both stuff from mind and studies. Be more aware of the big masses and their relationships to each other and things will work out! keep it up!

    Hey thanks Deadlyhazard!

@DV Dude, that was the fastest response I've ever gotten from you lol. Thanks so much bud. I definitely had a lot of fun. I had to get those out of my system. And I know exactly what you mean. I've been slacking so hard in studies. It's time to get back to those.

Thanks! It means a lot coming from someone who paints as well as yourself!

And nope, those are acrylic. I used oils originally when I didn't know what I was doing so I switched to acrylic. I want to do oils but it's expensive and I would have to start over in a lot of ways. And glazing with acrylics is a pain in the ass lol.

Nice stuff here! Quite liking how intricate the abstracted stuff is. I need to get on with those studies too.
