Ehwhy's Sketchbook

Hi guys.
I've been semi-lurking on conceptart for a while but I've finally decided to make a sketchbook.
I feel like I'm at a strange crossroads where the usual advice (draw from observation, loosen up, etc.) isn't as useful anymore. I seem to be drawing TOO loosely and maybe doing too much observation and not enough imaginative work. Any advice/critique is welcome


Anyway, I'm currently a freshman at SVA, majoring in computer animation - some of this is schoolwork, all of it is from the past month or so. Apologies for dubious scan quality

dude, too much direct observation is never enough !! I love your figures!!!! Your pretty good for a freshman, im quite jealous XD! If I could crit, your objects aren't as strong as your figures from observation? Keep doing direct observation and play with what you learn on the side :>
