the biggest thing holding back the dirst image is anatomy. your lines, coloring and clarity are all up to speed, but are being held back by structural anatomical awkwardness.

the buttons looks ace, albeit perhaps a bit much detail for a smaller sized button. lovin' the graphik quality.

Yeah, I agree with Grief on the anatomy point. I really like the style, these definitely could be considered finished. Other than a little wonkiness in the arm and torso I can't find much fault in any of these. Good work.

Buttons look a little over-designed, I think a lot of that intricate detail would be lost in production-scale versions, unless they're really big buttons

The two figures show a competent command of the rendering/painting processes but you could use more definition of form and less detail -- the volumes and mass of the figures is getting swamped by the embellishments. Use more definitive light sources and get more "round" into the figures.

Bar codes in the first image don't seem to jibe with the subject and add visual busyness -- do they relate to some story being illustrated?

Hi, thanks for the help much appreciated. Yah the first one is in relation to a story. But I find it kind of awkward if it were to be place in the book itself so i left it as a separate Illustration.

I agree that there may be some anatomical issues but you have done such a great job combining visually interesting elements that the first piece is really appealing to me. The folds, the hair, the costume elements, the eyes, the expression and the coloring are really terrific.

I really dig the buttons at this size. If the finished buttons are going to be smaller then the level of detail may be a problem.

I don't think the third attachment is as strong as the first two.
