Phoenix

This is what i did a while ago before i found out about C.A. So, for start, i share it with you.

It's my impression over the so called Phoenix bird. My image of a realistic yet.. possible existance of the bird. No wings and tail made of fire.. just bioluminescence and beautiful fire-like colors on her feathers... glowing eyes and earth-like anatomy. swan-like body, large impressive wings and beautiful tail.

It took some hours of sketching and painting and days of thinking and research.
Pretty pleased about this one... not mainly about how good or bad is painted but just for its little bit of originality


The second picture is my entry in CGchallenge "The journey begins" at CGsociety and is one of my favorites... also is a huge size and looks good on a wall.

I like the second one, though i like to see u elaborate more on that snail's house coz it looks like it would be fun to expand on that. Great work!

Second piece is really fun. I like it.

About the Phoenix. It's a nice design and well painted, but I feel that the composition is really awkward.
The pose of the bird looks flat, and feels less than 'graceful, or 'majestic'.

It also feels cramped. The entire left and top side of the bird is evenly margined from the edges of the canvas, as if it were caged.

Just my 5 cents.
