Jason Chan "Long String Rice" paper

I really love Jason Chan's Art and I noticed that he often uses a very intersting kind of paper in Painter in order to achive textured background using brushes like Chalks.

In the great first video he did for Massive Black I learned that he has this paper under the name of "Long String Rice" but unfortunately I wasn't able to find this special paper on the web so I wonder if someone here knows how to find it or to create one similar to this.

You can see all that straight lines that are the kind of paper I'm looking for.

looks like it could easily be created in photoshop, draw a couple of straight lines, make a scatter brush, paint some texture, then export the painting into painter and make a paper texture out of it?

thats what I would do anyway...

actually if you have photoshop ... you have what you need
use the dune grass default brush mess around with 'shape dynamics'-'scattering'-'other dynamics' and kill the color dynamics

The effect of the dune grass is different becuse it's curved and not straight as I want.
I discovered that this kind of paper is in the MoreWilde.pap that was in the Paiter 4 WOW! Book, can anyone give me this kind of paper?

Hey, I downloaded the same tutorial and wanted the exact same thing. Here's how I got it...

1) Open Chans video in the media player of your choice and just press the 'print screen' key while watching the video at the point when he is using the Long String Rice Paper.

2) Open Painter and click 'edit' then 'paste in new image' from the menu bar

3) click on the 'rectangular selection' tool in the toolbox and select the 'Long String Rice' texture from the image.

4) click 'edit' then 'cut' from the menu bar

5) click 'edit' then 'paste in new image' from the menu bar

6) right click on the new image and choose 'select all'

7) click on the arrow on the paper selector pallet and choose 'capture paper...'

8) Type 'Long String Rice' and the click 'ok'

That texture also comes built in with Painter 9 and 8. If you go to the paper pallete, go to the drop down options and select "Open Library". Be sure to select append so you don't lose your current paper selection. The long rice texture is bundled in the "Wild Textures 2" library (Wild Textures 2.pap). Then you get the real deal instead of a screen cap.

Dunno how to get it to work in Photoshop if that's what you need it for, though ^.^;; If anyone knows how to get papers in Painter to work in Photoshop, let me know!
