You always comment on mine, glad you finally have a sketchie so I can comment on yours![]()
Lookin pretty darn good actually. You faces are nice, the bodies are good but somewhat more formless in comparasin. I'd also reccomend getting a decent sketchbook but as long as you're practicing it's all good.
Hope to see more![]()
Merci, Rhineville!![]()
Glad you likeYeah, I tend to over-focus on facial expression 'n' stuff; perhaps I should pay more attention to bodies
And yes, I have a real sketchbook or twoAnd more sketchies lurkin' around.. stay tuned!

seem like a natural at drawing from the head. Do more from life.
Wee horsies!
Great SB man! Love the faces and the greek themed drawings, satyr, medusa..
You are doing great with both pen and pencil!
Keep up!

Nice start, show us more. I'd like to see some pencils. Good horses. I feel sorry for Medusa, she looks so downcast...![]()
Listing -- Sketchies from life will be forthcoming, no worries
Blaz -- Thx so much!
Piranha Clan -- Great!!! That was exactly the response I wanted for Medusa!Everyone depicts her as evil; I thought I'd go more for "I didn't ask to look like this"..

Wow you must have a lot of free time at work LOL. I loved your sketches. Did you look at anything (horse books/etc) while drawng or was this all from your head?
JessicaNoel -- Glad you like my SBThe horses are straight out of my head, due to the many many years I've been poring over "Draw Horses" books, horse calendars, breeding magazines, you name it!
Some sketchies had photo refs (the colonial guys, the Indian girl with butterfly fairies).. but most of this stuff was non-ref.
And here we have a still-life I did recently; a "congrats on getting married" card I made for friends [paintmarker, watercolors, and black pen]; and one of my valiant efforts at Photoshop painting -- I'm still very much a n00b!!!![]()

It's really great how all your sketches are done in pen!!! I would not be able to draw with pen and have my sketches look that good.

I agree with Shobunkin ur Pen drawings are great. Some anatonomy & proportions studies may help to get more dynamic into ur characters. Ur facial expression is so nice too.
Thankz for stopping by at mime. Keep the pen up man! And Draw
laFlo: Thanks!Yeah, my figures can be kinda stiff...
Workin' on that...
Latest pencil productions:
1) ran across PoseManiacs -- fun!

Oh! I love the roses. I like that the outline is red, while the roses would be red. The girl shortly after that is also very pretty. It is somewhat difficult to make "pretty" people when you draw. And that one has a natural beauty that would be found in a real person, but the hair gives her a magical quality. Your faces are also coming nicely. Good veriety.![]()
Great stuff, and thanks for visiting my thread!
Love the horses, definitely a strength!I also like how you captured the different emotions with the head shots. The dragon at the top is awesome too. Nice job. Keep em coming!

I like the chariot! It has a lot of movement and gesture. Fun stuff... post some more stuff again!!

Super, you started posting a online sketchbook. I like your horsesketches the best, they are lively. It's a shame that some of your drawings are done on lined paper, ack. But whatever you have at hand works better than not drawing at all.

Pigeonkill -- Glad you like my horses.... I dug out my old blank sketchbook today b/c I need to upgrade from the legal pad

Very cool ball-point sketches, your latest pencil drawings are really good. You capture the gesture and pose nicely in all of them although I have the feeling you avoid drawing feet
you remind me that i dont sketch nearly enough
Thanks for your comments about my pic, i apreciate that.
Love to see more from you!
Cheers
By George, it does look that way, doesn't it? Thx, AndreasT, for pointing that outUnintentional, I assure you.. I do draw feet!
Inspired, I snatched up pencils and went to work...(and yes, my desk's legs are kinda wonky... that's partly my hastily-done perspective, and partly my wonky desk

I missed some good updates! Post #26, the girl sitting with her hand out...niiiiice. It's got a clean but not-too-clean feeling with the linework. It's also the most solid anatomy from you yet. The centaur is great, as are the roses. You're definately on the right track, just keep drawing.
And thanks for the latest feedback in my SB, you totally made my day!![]()
