nice sketches, I really can't draw people, let alone draw them as good as you! But I will give some advice. The legs are waaaaaay to long and the arms and legs too skinny on the last one.

Your first few drawings are especially unique in how you really accentuated some lines- I would be too scared to do that, heh. It really makes it dynamic.

The very large man reminds me of political cartoons from like the 20's, haha.

the only thing stickin' out to me right now is I think you make your noses just a tiny tiny bit too low, but that also gives them unique character

Thx everyone. I intentionally made the girl's limbs longer and skinnier, but maybe I have overdone it.

You guys got me on the hands too haha. Usually if it's a sketch, the hands are afterthoughts so I either just block them in, hide them, or just leave them out altogether. I should spend more time on hands as they quite hard to get down.

I find these drawings on the right rather interesting. The girl appears to be in some kind of large spacesuit of somesort (as I see from the neck). You have a compelling style in that you combine a realistic and sorta cartoon style for your characters.

What is the guy in the large hat is doing- is it a crystal ball?

Probably my favorite Wolverine sketch ever. And the crystal ball dude, nice. But the face is all wrong for him. Seems his eyes are too far up his face also. Nice sketches. More please.

Mega: I'm a big fan of Wolvie what can I say. There's actually a lot more to folds but I'm glad to share what I do know.

Data: It's suppose to be more like an energy glow thing haha. And it's probably because I like both comic books and figure drawings (regarding the style).

Envisor: Glad you like the Wolverine sketch. The eye does look too far up on the wizard guy now that you mentioned it.

I like the last one, the way you took that interesting worms-eye view- also, good expression- like she's thinking of something she regrets... I dunno.

What confuses me a little is that the style of the middle one is different (more bold). Is this to show her personality? It's an interesting look, but perhaps you should put some of that style in the other two if they have something to do with each other.

Crits--> needs more white (like what you did on Rogue's {right?} hair and Wolverine's claws). Also, it seems like you're trying to make an optical illusion with the first one. While his hand is in front of his head, his eyebrow seems to extend in front of the claw- it's a little thing but you might wanna tweak it.

You have very nice caligraphy! And you have very (uh, hm... interesting) spelling! What's the signifigance of it?

Nah it's not sequential at all. Just a couple of non related sketches. Although a story involving the three would be quiiiite interesting.

The brown paper is actually from this little brown book I got at Half Priced Books. The text from The Cantebury Tale are printed inside throughout. I wish my penmanship was that good.

The person is the middle is Edward Scissorhands. I was trying to go for a more cartoonish look.

LoL about the Wolverine claw mishap. That's just a careless error on my part. I wasn't trying to go for any optical illusions or anything.

yeah... I was going to mention something about your amazing penmanship but then I read your other post. What an interesting little book!
I didn't notice the illusion thing with his claws at first either... wolverine, rogue, and gambit are my favorite x-men I love that pic of rogue, especially her expression.
In your latest picture, check out the upper row of teeth, I don't think their downward slant doesn't go with the rest of the skull (lovely hands however!)

I've wondered about varying lines. Generally I don't, (scratch that, I never), vary my line width unless it's part of the form.

When drawing in this style, do you make the width thicker with what's supporting more weight? It makes sense to me, that subconciously it'd work. I don't think detail is surpressed, but I don't know what your vision was for it. Nice action.

As for the 2nd one, I like the purity of color. Do you have any more digitals to post? The head seems a little small for the shoulders, but then again, it's stylized. In fact, I remember learning that painters back as far as the Renaissance would paint their subjects with larger bodies (especially hands) to show power. It seems to work here, so I'd say keep it like it is anyway.

Sarcophagus: I actually have quite a few anatomy/figure drawing books already. Just need to study them haha.

Kirsten: I make the lines thicker on the side with less light. Sometimes I have seen people make a line completely disappear if there is a lot of light (Jim Lee does it a lot). I did a 180 on the last one and made his head smaller than it should be this time. Shouldn't be too hard to fix since it's digital (hooray for digital). I have some digital stuff posted in my old sketchbook thread:
