    Structure Of Man DVD???

Has anyone checked out the Structure of man DVD series, http://the-structure-of-man.blogspot.com/ ? I was just wondering if it would be worth ordering. Is it really as helpfull in understanding anatomy, and dynamic figure drawing?

i ordered them back when there were *just* three(?) dvds...def worth getting. the approach is very technical....no focus on dynamics. but good for groundwork

I got through a few of the "structure of man" lectures when he had free samples online, and I own a few of Vilppu's dvd's.

I would say anatomy-vize, they cover much the same stuff. But with Vilppu's dvd's, if you're lucky, some of his drawing technique will rub off on you, which is a great bonus. And he has a few dvd's on rendering, etc. But they are also more expencive. If you just want the anatomy info, you might as well go for the cheapest option.

I bought the set, and it's worth tons more than those $90 Gnomon DVD's. I like spending $45 for over 200 hours of detailed structural anatomy lessons, than 2 hours of an artist painting a picture and talking about it.

It's really helped me simply and grasp some of the basic anatomical constructions/proportions of human beings. I'm going to be researching anatomy and practicing live drawing in tandem with/after this series, but as a start I think it's great.

Don't expect pristine quality though, you could conceivably do ok with the YouTube videos. I don't know, I've never checked them out.
