Your best hands yet. THe bottom one is more defined than the top as there's a blank area where I think a little indication or knuckles and vein is needed. Try drawing hands from memory after you do the studies. Good to see you're updating quite regularly man. Keep it up.

    Page 1:

The last three images look really good there. You've cleaned up the John Wayne one very nicely, which would have been my critique on it. The shading kind of looks like it's not in the right places but if you have a reference I would want to see it. If you don't, I'd just comment that there's something strange about that mass of black on his face that looks like a rectangle. The wolf-ish dog is a very good start and my only problem with the snake picture is the man's head because looks like he's missing an ear and it looks as though his hair doesn't continue down the back of his head.

    Page 2:

You have a serious talent for and knowledge of drawing hands. It's really nice. Good job on those.
    "Yakko...?"
    "Yes, Ms. Flameel?"

"Multiplication, it's math education! Isn't this swell? Oh, let's give multiplication a standing ovation...
so buy a calculator, study this stuff later!"

-Animaniacs (only a few good quotes from that song. Search "The Multiplication Song - Animaniacs" on YouTube
for this video and any other Animaniacs classic!)

    iceman478- good qoute. Thx
AK86- Thx, college doesnt start till next month tho. Ill be sure to have some fun.
    Looped_Warrior- Thx
    Eric Cartman- Thx
Taiylz- Thx, sometimes I use a block structure, sometimes stick figure, and other times I just free hand it. Check out http://polykarbon.com, it has some great exercises for beginners and what not.
    Dreamworker- Thx
25- Funny you should say that, about half of the hands you see here are drawn from memory. I love to draw hands, there very challenging and fun. Thx.
Leftyy- The page is acting wierd, I went to user CP and to edit options, then to # of posts per page, and I went to 60, then I saved my settings. Now its back to normal, Ive just got to my second page now. The snake mans ear is just shaded too dark, sorry. Thx for the comments.

You've added a lot since I last commented, kudos. Your sketches are very creative, and your hands are looking superb. Maybe you could do a few leg studies and find out how big legs are in relation to the rest of the body (proportions). Remember that when a person is standing up and has their arms straight down, the fingertips should reach midthigh (is this right? I think so).

I've realized through your drawings that you have a thing with clothing- you're great at conceiving creative garnments that flow (not exactly literally though). They seem to work well, and have sort of a "foreign fantasy" flair.

Perhaps you should take some kind of fashion design as an elective (and no, I'm implying you're gay ). But I'm curious to see what you'd come up with.

Love the way you varied the line width in that last one. Really gives the man substance. It would be interesting if you extended the dashboard and somehow combined the clock with the part on the other page to unify it into come crazy scenario. I dunno...

And above that- Dr. Zoidberg meets... Davy Jones!

The 2nd pic= Racing Against the Clock? That was my first reaction until I realized he's actually driving toward a clock.
My mistake about the hands. I just assumed the drawings of hands by themselves were done from life since they look like the same hand and they're all left hands.

Meg is right about the fingertips reaching mid-thigh. Also the legs should have a slight S-curve to them when viewed in front and from the side. The curve is more severe in females but it still there in male. The main thing, I think, is to not let the thigh and the shin have the same curve.

meg- Thx, yeah, that one is really out of proportion. Studies coming soon.
    mofongo- Thx
Data- Thx, sounds like fun doing fashion, just not sure if I could get into it tho. I took Dr Zoidberg as inspiration. Hehe.
25- Yeah, thats pretty stupid of me, to keep drawing left hands even from memory, Im clueless. Not really, Ill be drawing more and more from memory. Thx for the tips about the legs, Ive heard that before, but reminding doesnt hurt.

Heres a work in progress, selfportrait in MS paint, since I cant get my hands on any other coloring programs, about 4 1/2 hrs so far. And its a real headache. Still lots to do on it, especially with the nose and the hoody.

Wow, dude. Last time I spent that much time in MS paint, I was stuck on an aircraft carrier for six months and BORED. Image is looking good, though. Have you ever messed with acrylics, water colors, oils, or anything of that nature?

As always, I dig your pencil work. Wouldn't mind seeing you do more enviros. Keep pushing further.

Ooo, Paint! Neat style- did you use the brush tool for all the dots or did you poke them in individually?

Don't be afraid to make some new colors! I see it's kind of stylized, but a crit of mine is perhaps the lips should be toned down a little, or at least less pink- looks a little like lipstick.

I especially like your second sketch post- the lines have varied thickness in the perfect places!

yeah, if you haven't checked out gimp, you should. Yay for free stuff. However, I've had some trouble making it work with my tablet, but that might just be my tablet's fault (because it's a stupid aiptek and it kinda sucks).
Are all the sketch poses from your head?

Oh, by the way, the same thing is happening with your link as mine. I believe when we got these links up, we had taken it from the "last page", except we had thought it was the first because we had more posts to a page. So when the link url is the same, it makes people click automatically revert to the last page. At least that's how it is on my sig. Go to the first page and recopy the URL (if you want people to see your 1st page). Mmm... I probably could've said that in less words >_>.

Hey Envisor, your stuff looks pretty good but there seems to be a certain akwardness in some of your sketches. Almost like they are to blurry, not enough contrast/defined edges, or the characters lack substance. err, rather I mean they seem to be floating in space or the porportions are off or something.

Perhaps try working on unique attributes in your characters that would set them apart from mundane people. Think in terms of a movie. There are the main characters that stand out and then there are fill ins that are practically the same...Main = Black & white contrast, Fillers = Grey...blend in/ non-important...That comes through in your work some, but if you were to add more contrast in terms of the silhouet and in terms of the value (black & white --- Try adding more blacks to ur drawings they seem very grey) then I think your work would really come to life. Look foreward to seeing more of your work as you progress. Hope I don't come across as an ass I'm just trying to offer some constructive critcism; the same criticism I would expect somone to give me on my work.
