Did this one a week back:p This piece was inspired after watching Avatar. For alot of artist this film was an eyeopenner, a visual feast for the artist. Anyway thought i'd get it out of my system by painting an environment piece.

Man, this last piece is great, it's kind of a mixture between princess mononoke and shadow of the colossus
Oh, and love the tooney character, specially the razor![]()

Quike Garcia: Thanks man
Results from last nights lifedrawing session, and quick character study done Sunday morning.
i saw the life sketches you did in 2008 and 2009, you have made a great progress!!! and i truly love those sketches~~~ the life sketch~ really really great~ i saved them all~~~
and i was wondering how long will you take to finish one piece of paper? all the people in paper are lively~~~
5stars~~~~~
ZhouPeng: Thank you very muchI usually fill one and abit page during my lunch breaks. We usually go to a cafe and sit there for about an hr, sketching random people. Its really fun. The life sketching is a 3 hr session, broken up into short and long periods.
Did this one awhile back, but been on and off it a few times. So thought i’d get it out there, and here it is:p Did it in conjunction to the first rider piece i did last month. Guess this is the bad one outta the lot.

Great stuff! You're doing a terrific job.
Lennon, thanks man
Speedpaint done last night, approx 40mins. Topic "Conan." May go back at some stage and clean it up, but at the moment, happy with the looseness of it.
* Some more touchup on it.

Gisaiagami: Thank you for the favourite
Ok, time for another sketch dump, just to keep the ball rolling. Got myself a moleskin diary while back, so slowly and painfully feeling it up with my scribbles. Those books are damn expensive too, so its like drawing on gold. Meh, ll get over it. Just need to doodle more and loosen up. Here goes.
Ermmm yeh, the last image is of a music store, but before that, i was sketching someone smoking in the corner, hence the floating lady :p
Nice looking people sketches in that last post. It's difficult to hit a moving target, isn't it?![]()

Awesome stuff Rodimus. Always enjoy seeing your public sketchs they kick my ass! Sketching people in public is fun.
Dy.laneA: Thanks for stopping by man
Nothing much to update really, just been really slack. So here is some scans from the faithful old moleskin diary. Its been raining alot in brissie lately, so been a good time to just sit down in a cafe and just sketch random strangers. Good way to pass the time.
Post #233 is just awesome, man,I love the way the rider sits on the animal. The Cow is also excellent and the cartoon aproach on the girl is fantastic and lovely.Congratulations!Maybe I miss some vivid colors, more saturated. And I see a little problem with the hands, you use to left them blurry.I know is a difficult part to draw, but is better to try hard to do it,though you fail sometimes, than leave it unfinished!
Cheers,man!
Yes I second the handsHmm can't wait till it begins to rain way up here in Canada again
Snow is nice though!
holy shit mate! love the sketchbook stuff.
beautiful work!!! ^^
The monolith and the dragon rider pieces are really great.

Haven't been back in awhile, so figured its time to post another image. Aint been doing much lately, apart from works stuff. Heres something i did way back last year but decided to touch it up againShe pirate it is. Will post some more sketches soon.
im a big fan of your characters.the loose style is fresh! that said, your robinhood kind of got lost in that background. At least to my eyes the light coming through the branches is just a bit too strong as they compete with the highlights on robin and likewise his siloutte suffers quite a bit. Maybe for the next time try pushing it back a bit with the opacity for the background and increase the contrast of your character just a tad to help seperate the elements a bit.

Beautiful paintings, especially destroyed beauty and that one with the guy riding dragon. Great stuff, keep posting.
Sucky times. Just been made redundant from my job as a games concept artist, so now on the hunt for work, freelance/contract or fulltime...Been there a good while too, +4 years, but i guess its time to move onto a new chapter. Anyhoo onto some pics.
Some stuff that never saw the day of light. This was a little workshop excercise with some collegues from work. The aim was to redesign superman for the latest movie. Heres my take on it, guess u can submit this stuff under fan art :p
Hey, you got a nice sketchbook here! Keep on posting the pencil pages! I like them! Thanks for sharing!
Hey man, that sucks to hear. Hope everything works out well.
Nice superman designs. Loving the texture on the final design. I think loosing the undies is a great idea
Keep at it!
