Some older sketches to start the thing out (moved from the first post cuz I just found out how to insert attachments without them turning into thumbs):
From the Sketchcrawl last weekend:

So glad you started one of these! I think the monochrome of Jake cutting his hair is your strongest here. You're more confident in your planes and values and it's showing.
And oh yeah, thanks for the crotch shot![]()
that is indeed a thick mixture. it's got some dude-ity in there![]()
this sketchbook, I will follow.
A water warrior dude...

I really like the imagination youve got. Your work is extremely creative, even the life drawings. Theres something whimsical about it. I REALLY like the water warrior.
The address of a party I went to, some head studies and a somewhat aggressive girl. Whee!

Hey, nice work. Have you been working on the guy cutting his hair from post #4? I'd like to see more of that.
Chris
Last Saturday's open figure drawing session (I love this model!):
Afterwards I went out to a bar and drew a bit more:
And lastly, horrible photos of a couple alla prima self portraits (oils) I did this weekend and last weekend (sorry for the shitty photo quality, I'll get better ones eventually):

asoir: Working on it... My hosting expired, everything should be back up soon.
Dose206: I haven't been working on that piece of the guy cutting his hair lately, I've got too much freelance (88 page graphic novel, shee-it) and school shit for now. But I am definitely finishing that one out soon, it's actually quite a personal piece which is unusual for me... I'll post progress when I get a chance to work on it.
Thanks for the views and comments, everyone!
hey this is great stuff, your really up there love the sketching and the oils are even betttter, they're nice and sofft =)

i like the look of the earliest drawings, very clean
is it because it was with pen rather than pencil? I get that way sometimes...
the self-portrait is slick, how's that mohawk working out for ya? I need a haircut and was thinking of giving myself one
