2nd Cast update and digi's. I'm going to try and do a few more folks in the Draw From "What Does Everyone Look Like?" Thread. Really fun to experiment with colors and do stuff both from observation and imagination at the same time. Also tried to flesh out my starry night thumbnail a bit more. Not sure, it looks better, but since "realistically" you can't see much at night, there's not much happening. So...laser!

Update. This Utrecht charcoal just flows onto the page, it's very nice and smooth.

And an enviro sketch. Gonna develop this further.

A 90ish minute portrait from Gage Academy of Art's "Art Jam" event this last weekend. It was a challenge to try and get a glowy white appearance to her headfeather/dress while showing her darker skin tones, using limited values. It was a blast to draw her, really fun!
