arttorney, you have an interesting style of line composing... and that's simply great!)))

As for my add to the thread...
I did this 'Zer0space' ink work about a year ago, but it remains being one of the most successful ones.)) Hope that won't spoil the perception...

    OH Bravo! Ink!

I have totally fallen in love with this medium, but I tend to do more ink painting with dip pen work.

So many great inks in this thread!

Arne, since your are so fresh in my mind, I have to say I LOVE THEM!

Question, is anyone finding away to sell these? I was told by some large gallery owners, whom I know casually that they

    hey thanks, ewschott.
i think this depends on the gallery. but yeah, that´s the reason i stopped trying to get in a gallery years ago. i wasn´t even successful in selling watercolor-paintings. the most fascinating thing a gallery-owner once told me was: "i cannot sell these! they are all naked!" -but they are not all like this (i believe).

i "sold" some ink-illustrations for playboy and some books.

Wow...this thread is amazing! The art is all so inspiring. I will definitely be trying more things with ink now.

I wanted to share an assignment I did in art class that I thought was kind of cool:

We dipped arm-length tree branches into ink and drew trees on huge pieces of paper outside. It's kind of cruel to the trees, if you think about it, but the results in the class were fantastic. Some people dipped rosemary branches and whacked them on the paper to make leaves.

Wow, great new stuff since my last visit. Here is my latest ink. A Tattoo, as my wife said that after she saw it. The other one is a little bit older, from '85. Black and white ink.

berychon great inks. The first one found me impressed but the second is the one i love the most.

I don't do a lot of ink but I recently have been do a little since I find it so interesting. This is my first image to post on Conceptart, I hope I am adding it correctly and my work is fair enough to be on this site.

This is the first time I've posted here, and I have to say, you are all just the biggest kick in the groin I get all day! (I mean that in a good way...the amount of sheer talent here makes me want to lie in front of a truck.) I've been dabbling in the inkwell lately, too, so I guess I should share. It's probably pretty obvious from these that I grew up reading WAY too many comic books...

Still wrestling with this medium after a long hiatus. It's amazing how dependent you get on the undo button after a while...

Dandilion, I started off right away with this style and do love it, I basically stick with Bistre or Sumi-e ink and stay away from technical pens.

Ink is a great traveling medium, even with washes, but I do know there are a lot of artist who do use the more technical line when traveling, ie: train, subway.

I forget who mentioned the sepia, but I do use the sepia a lot also, but really have issues with the shellac.

I've been feeling very old looking at these great line works - I feel mine pretty much show my age, I told someone, I feel pretty "un-hip"!

Bobbykro your pointillism is so really well done, I wish you could give us an extreme close up of your "points"!

    Pen & Inks

LOTS of great stuff on here!!

really liked the WWII Aviation stuff....FANTASTIC!

Here's a few of mine....they're kind of all
over the board, and all out of my sketchbook.
Pen and Ink is one of my favorite mediums...
whether I use ink, ball point, sharpie, brush or
whatever. These are straight-up B&W, I like to
combine line with watercolor or wash, too.

    Pen & inks

    Here's a couple more I did...
this one I did with sepia ink, with watercolor,
on a watercolor paper postcard, for a friend.

This one I did using a unibal micro tip pen, and a sharpie

this last one I did with the unibal pen, and Tombo markers,
which is why the color is so intense.

Testing out a sheet of DuraLar here using a Pigma brush pen. The washes are made by smearing the ink with a cotton swab (aka Q-Tip) and rag. Roughly 9x11".
