    Big Dump/ Final Thesis Stuff

Hello all! Well im finaly free I had my final thesis presentation last friday and it was an amazing experince. This was the first time I ever created work and had the honor of getting a public viewing. The school opened the doors to the public and even advertised the B F A in the sunday paper. Well enouph talk Ill show you some of the concept and production work as of the project. Im still trying to condense a web version of the project seeing as how its 3 gigs.

    BFA statement

The “Himmerit” is a multi media based project combing Video, 3d composites, and hand drawn stills into single character narrative which uses martial form, gesture, and sound to a portray a transformation .The main character called Gohkonda, finds he is losing hope within his life as a warrior and ventures blindly into the desert. While there, he finds himself in a situation where he must prove himself worthy of salvation. The martial performance itself is a testament of the Characters faith in spiritual value. He eventually confronts his fears which leads to him regaining the content he has been longing for. As long as I can remember I have had a passion for experiencing and telling stoies. What intrigued me the most as with all the stories I have read, watched, and listened too are the stories where the protagonist has to single handedly confront the powers that be when the odds are against them. This story archetype often has a pattern of loss and gain which carries you along the journey making the finality worth the anticipation. Science fiction has always been a genre that I enjoy it is a world of fantasy a scientific logic that always proposed the question of “what if”.This has stayed with me throughout the years as I draw characters and worlds that I derive from my many influences. I believe artists have the power to influence and shape the world we live in to a tremendous extent, and in order to do that we must first explore ourselves through play and creativity so that we can better understand the meaning of our manifestations.

That looks like an amazing creation, made all the more impressive that it was just you who made it and not a whole team. The world and the character you made are interesting and seem well-rounded. Your character also has a very soulful expression.
Where did you go to school for this, anyway?

Carnifex thanks, you make me feel like it was all worth hours of starring at the computer moniters and eating Mc donalds and Quiznos at 2 in the morning. This Project had production window of 4 months and it cost me around 2 grand to make. But when the public came to view it I swear it was all worth it.

Thanks Moai and Lohan I go to school at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Its bascialy boot camp for artist.

Thanks for viewing my work Max

Hey jef. yep old stnky Bergengreeeeen showed up and tried to question what social commentary i was making on society with my project. Thats was his only question... oh and jergen left for mexico a year ago. I miss the guy.

Cool art, great ideas, text could use some proofreading. Presentation looks sweet, I wish I could have seen that in person; is it possible for you to share the video?
