wow great stuff, is that Kate Beckinsale(sp?)
Hey,
Thank you!
No, it's Evangeline Lilly (or something).
I think it was a frame from the tv-series Lost, on the beach with lots of wind, so she might look a bit strange. ;p

The one traditionally paintet is based on a drawing from "sons of the storm".

Skintone test from last night
and a character test.
A while since last update.
I recently moved to the UK for work, and have been without internet for a while.
Been practicing environments lately, it has always been one of my weaknesses.
The last one isn't so much a sketch but more a test of technique. (mix between 3d and 2d)
Comments and crits are welcome! ^^
cheers

Your animal drawings are beautiful. You capture texture and energy well with just a few brush strokes; I love it.
Your environments are coming along well. It's always good to practice your weakness, and I think that you've done a great job of establishing the mood of your enviros. through the color schemes. Though I do think, for the image of the house with the waterwheel, that the grass should be even darker than that for a cloudy day. Values approaching those on the house would fit better with the mood, I think.

Hello Fjooner ! I like your SK! Very nice motives. Kick-ass anatomy! Very delightful lines. The girl painting is so damn good! Who is that? Can you let me see the reff? Like the expression on her, colour etc.
Very nice stuff here. Keep it up man! Looking good.
joaKimArt: Thanks! the painting is based on a painting by Weistling. unfortunatly not as loose and rich as the original. Must do another study some day. Gallery8 (the page loads extremly slow here, hope it works.)
Senira: Thanks for what you said about the brush strokes, since that's what I admire about so many artists! You are right about the grass values, especially in the forground. :]
Cheers!
Wow. Your studies are really, very, tight. For a crit, I'd say double-check your proportions on the stuff from your head, like the Imperial Guardsman. Otherwise, that's a pretty well equipped soldier!

Textures by Stoph and Serpian! You can contribute as well!
kickass anatomy studies and portraits! the only crit i have is your digital faces look too smoothed out, try some texture brushes perhaps? the last black and white portrait is excellent tho, keep it up!
Hi, thanks for stopping by my SB
Your studies are really nice, i especially like your enviro thumbs- i think they have potential, the polar bears and squirrel are also very cool
Its nice to see a variety here

Thank you for your crits, and happy new year!![]()
Here are a couple of rough sketches done during christmas break. (I've done more, I'm just really lazy when it comes to scanning\adjusting curves, etc. Will get them in here asap. :p )
Cheers!

These are lovely. I must say I'm particularly fond of your animals as you can capture the textures so wonderfully.
Your colour choices are very nice as well and I love that you aren't afraid to show brush strokes.
Hanako: Thank you. :]
Here's first a sketch from my head (for once).![]()
..and a few sketches from photos/Hogarth, movies, etc. :]
Cheers!

Hey Fjooner, neat stuff! Studies are always good to do when one isn't just copying. So I hope you're learning heaps for these!
You know you should do more imaginational work. I really like the one you posted. I've done loads of studies myself and they do help a lot, but if one wants to draw from imagination better, the practise is drawing from imagination!
razz: Thanks! Yep, you're right, I should be adding more imaginative stuff to my sketchbook, but I really need to work on my drawing/colour skills at the moment.
I do a lot of imaginative stuff at work tho. These are done in the evenings and weekends. :]
(Had a look at your sketchbook, your studies are excellent!)
Cheers!
Your environments are beautiful~! And the way you pencil shade really makes the figures look 3-D.
Hot damn, keep it up.
wow! beautiful studies Fjooner, i think razz said pretty much everything so i just stay with the complements and moral supportdont stop man!
Really nice drawings from the video shots! Its hard to find the right colors but I think you're doing great! Also I agree with razz. Keep posting Fjooner!
really great pencil rendering!!
love the pencil renderings! can i ask what your job is? i'm a UK illustration student about to graduate at the end of the year, i'm gonna find it disheartening if someone of your talent isn't employed in the field of some sort of visual communication.
It is very hard to critique your work because it is so good and it would generally be nitpicking. This one has some issues with proportion though. IMO most obviously the legs from the knees down are too short and the head is too small. Also the shoulder isn't working for me on the lifted arm but that just might be me...
Seriously though, your pencil sketches are amazing, your digitals are even better. I love how you blurred the background on that squirrel though, great icon btw.
