*just another fan boy post... (I have nothing to offer except for some poor praise). That 5 week pose.... I want his chest hair on me... it is so real. no, but in all seriousness, well done and well designed. Keep it up! His right foot where the light is hitting... looks a bit strange to me. I don't know why. But then I second guess myself and think it looks fine because those planes are being pushed so much on the foot. looks amazing but then you get to the big toe and its just flooded with light (with the exception to falloff) and looks smushed. Perhaps the lack of planes or harsh degree change in value, compared with the extreme explanation on the same foot where you are really working those planes is hurting the design. But hey, it's a freaking toe and can barely be seen and probably shouldn't be analyzed or given the amount of attention that I'm giving it. The rest looks great (even that big toe looks good compared to my drawings.

Mind giving some insight into how you approach these studies as I'm just in awe how far you can push these. Never tried pushing something this far but I'm sure with the right guidance I will learn! Again, WELL DONE.

Time to update this bad boy!

Long figure poses from school first, the woman is 5 days and the man is 8. charcoal and chalk on toned paper, approx 60cm tall

Some stuff I made for Applibot, mixed feelings about these, however I just finished up a new set which I'm super excited to share as soon as I can! These are kind of old

    Sketchbook pages

Lastly, my final cast drawing in chalk and charcoal, onto oil painting now. This took a stupid amount of time, probably like 150-170 hours

Thanks a lot everyone! Much love

My god, 170 hours for the last drawing ? Jeez. I always thought I've worked a long time on a drawing when I spend more than 10 hours on it. The result is so damn good though. Anyway, your art is really impressive. I'm just sometimes a little bothered by some "weird" things you draw but I guess it's part of your artistic universe.

In 2007, when you started this topic, I believe I did the same on another forum. Back then I think I drew a little better than you did. But when I see what you're drawing now: WOW. You are a million miles away from my current level. The difference between you and me is: 5 years during which I did absolutely nothing and you instead worked your ass off and kept drawing. Anyway, this whole topic had the effect of a motivational bomb on me. And for this I'd just like to say: Thanks.

I'll meet you in 5 years to compare our levels once again

Do you use photoreferences for your sketchbook pages? (The girl with the wings on her head is my absolute favourite)
I'd like to get your opinion on my drawings !
If you have a few minutes to give, swing by my sketchbook to leave a comment or critique, I would appreciate it immensely

Gorgeous. You've been such an inspiration to me for years~
The only thing I can suggest is to try varying women's faces some more, or try more ethnicities.
Keep it up. I look forward to all your updates.

Holy shit dude, I've just went through your sketchbook and I can't believe you're only like, 19!!! You're crazy dude, and all the new pieces are amazing. You're waaaaay out of my league so I can't critique a single thing considering I can't even find flaws in you're work. Jeeze man, absolutely wonderful stuff.
I swear one day I'll be good. I swear one day I will be proud of my work. When that day comes, I'll need to kick my ass and try harder.

I love your art. It is not like those hipper realistic folks. I can see your brushwork and your lines, I like it so much. Could you please take a look to my SB and give me some tips to improve? I want to paint from imagination, but I still can't I don't know why.
My Blog or My Sketchbook would benefit from your comments.
