and the obligatory second post with actual pictures in order to bless my thread with an icon. or at least I hope this is how it works.
Nice Start with this SB! I like in particular your pencil stuff!
Keep sharing, ciao![]()
Great pencil work! I like the first pic with the multpile pencil sketches. Ill be looking for more.![]()
Ooh! Keep going, I want to see more!
I think you are awesome, and I wish you the best in your endeavors, but I am tired of repeating myself, I am very busy with my new baby, and I am no longer a regular participant here, so please do not contact me to ask for advice on your career or education. All of the advice that I have to offer can already be found in the following links. Thank you.

oh me oh myra!
Tallinn was in riots! And I almost saw it! Was on a bus and saw the masses gathering at town center but that was that. I witnessed the unrests from the comfort of my own home, on the telly.
Dreamworker, ChaoticKnight, Seedling - thank you!
Badger - Oh my! The biggest of all compliments! I went around blushing for two days after hearing about "kinnas folder"
tips on rendering clothes? haha, no idea. I'm just haphazzardly experimenting around, trying to get them to look right and failing most of the time. I think I'm gonna put my extensive wardrobe to use finally and start drawing myself infront of the mirror in all my zany outfits.
h2rra - haha, jah, muidugi
the following images of demons are a part of a series I'm doing entitled Demonhold. The basic premise is that Vatican is summoning demons to tame them and teach them and turn them good for political power and what have you. The first one has immense lung capacity and can suck you in trough the beak, crushing your bones with his stronger arm and doing the detail work with his sharper hand. His weakness is music. The second demon was a clever one and pretended to be passive and scared, biding his time to break free.
and then, in the third place, a sweet old steampunk engineer / inventor character. followed by doodles.
do these drawings looks blurry and sort of low quality to any of you guys? I'm thinking I should probably upgrade my scanner, seems like it's getting kinda old.
edit: updated with some better scans. turns out my scanner had somehow reverted back to it's default low resolutsion

I really like how your figures have such a natural and realistic feel, plus very clean for such a sketchy look.
Awesome pieces youve got and awesome style. I get the same problem with blurry images, at least I think its the same, right click your mouse and click on refresh image with full qaulity or refresh page with full quality. This should get rid of your probelm for a while, but it sometimes returns. Keep up the good work.
I am digging your stuff, man.
Especially 1832.
!
You sure have gotten better,
I remember your old work
nice to have updates from you!!
Thank you for all the good words!
Envisor - I got the blurriness fixed by upping the scanning resolution, silly me
Maxetormer - oh my! I'm embarrassed now! but nevermind, I will be embarrassed of the stuff I'm posting now by next page
recently I've been less enthusiastic about drawing, just doodling stuff here and there, nothing worth displaying. I've instead focused on colours, trying to exercise getting it right from the start with little corrections afterwards. been browsing trough lots of photos and mullins' paintings and analyzing the nuances of value, saturation and hue.
calculating all that just fries the brain, gave up on the last one and just went with cheap layer effects
should I be worried that the thread icon still hasn't bothered to appear? or is there perhaps a well hidden option somewhere to turn it on?
looked through the sb...great stuff...on the subject of the thread icon, I can't say...I've been having difficulty figuring out what the hell was going on for months and I still can't find a way for it to show...anyway pencils are killer and the digital stuff is just as well. The pixelated paint doodles(I'm assuming done with simple MS paint) are very nice and refreshing to see....anyway keep it up, I have a feeling this thread will go far.
Thanks for visiting my sketchbookDavi sure is one of many of my inspirations. Not really the most important one so no, I'm definitely not idolizing him

I really like the studies. But I think that as much as you've captured the mood and lighting on them perfectly I think that you've actually lost a lot of the nuances you were talking about by making them so detailessBut I'm no coloring expert.

Gspot - Thanks! Actually the pixelated ones were done in photoshop (boo! cheater! etc) it's hard to get such a pattern running in the background in ms paint. The way they were done was basically just fooling around with custom brushes, hitting it with the threshold filter and finding and enhancing shapes that came out.
thirdeye - I really used to idolize davi back some years but as it is with such matters, the influences come and go with time.
Yeah, one of my biggest issues is with detailing and calling stuff 'done' too soon. There's almost like this mental block going on that when I see the important parts represented (not even rendered!) then I get tired of the painting. Only very rarely I drag myself on to detail and render stuff out.
Well then. Haven't been around much lately, been very busy with the end of the semester. It's almost over but not quite yet so there's still little time to idle around and draw but I can show two comics I did for Uni. I didn't bother to translate the first one, it's just chitchat and nothing too important and you get the general gist of it either way. The given topic was Humanity by the way, the first one concerning growing up (fairytale characters dying and leaving and such) and mortality while the second one.. uh.. explores the topic of love.
Brilliant says I! Inspiring indeed!
Ill definitely keep an eye on this baby!![]()

i really like the last one of post 20. i like your pencil drawings.. the only thing i can say is that your female figures sometimes look like men with breasts (aside from the faces)

haha, the pedophile man, oh man fuck ya. I totally didn't see that coming.
Shit dude, I love your black and white pieces, They have lots of emotional power, and your paintings are also very nice, I especially like the one with the dragon peering through the clouds. keep it up.
thank you all!
I discovered that one can keep an endless amount of inspiration going if you draw and look at other's stuff parallel. it's almost like tapping in on their knowledge, you can learn tons of new stuff from referencing like that (I found it especially useful for anatomy) plus it's fun as hell to take someones idea and put a new spin on it. it's almost like a one way dialogue.
whats with the low ratings? 5 stars baby!
haha doood.... that pedosequentialthing up there is definately one of the most disturbing things ive seen here on the boards for a loong time.. needless to say that i totally dig itwell yeah, thx for stepping by my book, really appreciated.. kinnas folder created
keep it rolling bro
xoxo
GREAT STUFF!!! POST more !
most flattering, kind sirs!
it has been hectic with summer and moving and such activities but I've managed to sneak in a few drawing sessions (which surprisingly feature no alcohol)
