Heh, let's try this again. I'm a bit of a noob to the concept art scene, but I've been illustrating and producing graphics for a decade. I worked at MicroProse back in the day as an art intern and a QA tester and I'm looking to get back into the industry as a concept artist. I know I'm short on environments and long on characters. This is a character design for a modern mage. I pencilled and inked it, scanned it, and colored it in Photoshop. This is fairly representative of my work. I have a color study or two and I'm starting to work on environments. Thanks !

The growing line on the right, is confusing .
The background doest tell anything about the character.
The black jacket look to solid .

What do u think ????

Is that a gun in his left (our right) hand?! What would a mage need a gun for? And cmon... give us a reason why is he casting a spell, i mean no mage ever wastes a spell
