My name is Greg Bahm. I'm 21, and currently taking Computer Animation at Ringling School of Art and Design. I'm dieing to come intern for you and your game company this summer. All my life I have had a burning desire to be a part of the gaming industry. To this end, I have learned to be proficient in all aspects of 3d, 2d, and also in the art of programming, with hopes of eventually getting into design.

The following are some examples of my work broken down for specific roles.
This piece was used to promote a thesis idea I was pitching to the faculty. I feel I would be quite effective if utilized in a project promotion facility.
(Click to enlarge.) This is some visual developement for a creature in one of my thesis proposals for next year. I was able to work with the feedback and direction I received and eventually produce designs that were appealing to the widest possible audience.

Ringling has taught me to be proficient in all aspects of 3d, from modelling to texturing to UV mapping to lighting to rigging to rendering.
As evidenced by this piece and the work in my reel, I am also a compitent animator. I can animate naturally as well as in a stylized "cartoony" manner.
My 3d portfolio is admittadly spread more thin at the moment than I would prefer. I can assure you though, that whatever specific aspect I was hired for would recieve 100% of my attention and efforts, and I would not disappoint.
An example of my programming which is conviniently in actionscript 2.0. The program was written for fun to illustrate the concept of Chaos Theory. Each colored cell in the grid is a creature that has a random probability from frame to frame, to reproduce or die. When it reproduces, it's probabilities, modified by it's mutation factor, are passed on to the next creature. The vast majorities of new creatures will quickly perish, but eventually, given a long enough time line, a thriving creature will surely emerge.
I can also write mel scripts, shaders for Renderman, do C++/C# (though I am self taught and not on a professional level, I am full versed in Object Oriented Programming and many design patterns.) I have also dabbled in and found myself capable of using Python and any general scripting language. I feel I would be a valuable TD assistant, and at the very least I would be able to technically support myself far more than the average artist.
