Post Two new landscapes, just prior to final touch-up.

I've been working with a few artist friends and family of mine, and they've been good sports with getting these couple images this far. However, I'd like to take that necessary 24-hour mind-refresh before taking these two to ultimate completion, and I'd like some solid, thorough crits regarding their current state.

The two images go hand in hand, where one is a more foreboding rugged terrain, the other a lush expanse, but each is to share a very similar composition. This is to symbolize a relationship with one another, as if they are inhabited by separate but closely related entities...like seasons.

    Thanks a bunch, guys.

You seem to be getting to the details too soon. Use big fat brushes, and focus on getting big blocks of color in the right places. If you get a solid structure to your composition laid out in the right colors, then you can subsequently add on layers of increasingly smaller details. Then, it won't matter when you stop drawing, because the image will look good at every stage.
I think you are awesome, and I wish you the best in your endeavors, but I am tired of repeating myself, I am very busy with my new baby, and I am no longer a regular participant here, so please do not contact me to ask for advice on your career or education. All of the advice that I have to offer can already be found in the following links. Thank you.
