Cool robot designs, and very interesting robot in the third image, be awesome if you took that guy further. Post more.

Hey dorobo nice updates since I last visited. Really enjoying the dancing bot sketch. Will you be taking the sketch further? Think you might push the values a little more on the black/white painting, seems like the lower background is conflicting with the girl. Nice head studies as well. I think the apple could use a background just so it can pop out more, and might be able to read the values more. Maybe add more contrast on the shadows and some stronger highlights. Oh never commented on that bug, I think if you added something to incorporate that bug it would lead to an awesome t-shirt design, eh at least I would wear it.

    copic sketches

Yautja892 good to see you again
yes Iam taking the dancing bot for further development at the moment trying colors for background ( could be a hot desert ). Thanks for the crits about values.. it seems I should use more contrast. good idea about t-shirt design..

some time ago a did series of sketches with COPIC markers. Actually it was based on Scot Robertson technic.. so here goes some original scribbles and something that came out of those later on. comments and crits always welcome

Those black and white mech sketches... Wow.
Really like that last one, too. The bird thing. It's nice to look at.

The skull got me to stop and look in, there's some nice stuff here, especially the Black and white/tonal work. I'll look in again.

    Really cool work dude!

    Definitely like what's happening here:
    http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...5&d=1176709680

Now scan that in high res, then in PS use your crop tool and start looking for cool mini-compositions. Once you find something that works well, crop it and blow it up. then start working on that again. This little excercise has always lead me to astounding results and stuff I would never have thought of other wise. These type of experiments are also great for establishing texture in an image. Hope what I say makes sense hehe, see if works for you.

Thanks for dropping by my book man!

That first piece is really nice. It's funny, it almost seems like there's two people posting work because its all so different.

Hey Dorobo, thanks for visiting the book. I'm really enjoying the new works. I see crazy improvement. Alot of action in the recent post. You should keep this thing updated more. The refrigerator painting makes me laugh everytime I see it. Curious to see more...

There is some really good stuff here. What really got me to sop in though was the thread name. It's funny, but I've been going by The Dweller in Darkness for years online. Lurker in Light ... seems like we need to be arch nemesis now or something
