Dude...your colors practically have me drooling on the floor. Seriously juicy and beautiful works. Earthworm Jim is sooooo awesome...and thats one of the better fanarts I've seen of him. Latest sketch looks sweet. I'm keeping my eyes out here.

beautiful stuff, once again! would you mind posting some of your initial steps to an illustration? like initial sketches or colors, etc. etc.?
or maybe a brief explanation of the steps you take to tackle an illustration?

if you ask me,the only thing that needs reworking in that group picture is bowser. since he's the central character,he should be facing us,challenging our manhood, you know "strike muscles" pose, something that really indicates he's the king, the baddest mofo of them all. the way he's posed right now,he could well be on the edge of the group, and you wouldn't care.
otherwise,it's pretty good, the rendering is cool,i'd just add another atmosphere layer like with the undead veggie character, you know, death and destruction. make us feel they are truly the bad guys and could wreak havoc any moment, not just getting settled for a groupshot at walmart's photo corner. i think the stone could be punched up most, make him the big, brutish dumb/badass he is...you know like you have a group of soldiers posing for an action game, you'll always have "the sniper",or "the explosions guy" etc...make that work for you in this picture. assign roles to the guys, and really, get them all more involved with the viewer.
as for the rest of the sb (which i yet have to check fully), strong. i say, thanks a ton for the tutorial,i'm always wondering how guys like you or chuckmate can go from these simple line drawings to such incredible finishes. i'll see how much of it i can employ in my own works.
    keep going like this!

Carnifex: Whoa, you usually don't get that much criticism around here. I appreciate it! (Jag tar det här på engelska, det känns lite oförskämt annars.)
I really get what you're saying. The problem is that I never intended this to be anything but a quick doodle of Bowser. Once it was "done" I wanted to add other guys, and thus I didn't really think it through like I should have. Now it's gotten a bit too far to start reworking the already finished characters (i.e. I know I'd never finish it if I start changing too much now), and I'll just have to settle for that groupshot at walmart's photo corner. But sure, I could add some punch to it like you said, and I'll think more about posing in the future.

Other than that, thank you! It's flattering to be mentioned in the same sentence as Chuckmate.

Och ja, svenskar verkar ploppa upp som fan just nu. Vi är som ohyra.

    Hi there, fellow Nordic countryman!

I just spent my afternoon break at work browsing through your sb. Well spent time, let me tell you! Don't how I managed to miss it before, I've already seen some of your work on CHOW and loved it. For shame!

But yes, in short, I'm incredibly impressed! You've got such vivid and fun imagination, most of your work is just so happy and playful. Technically-wise, I like your refined look a lot. Thanks so much for making that tutorial, I'll def learn a thing or two from it. Keep it up!
