An update of the winter festival. This is actually a themed picture where you have to fit in a couple of elements in the picture, like a dragon, a robot and a couple of raccoons.

It's a slow progress, but I'm getting there...

I believe it's been a while since I did a COW.

Very very very nice stufff...
But the most impressive is the transformer Game Boy, I just can love it and nothing else! The one of the kid and the monsters around the bed I awesome too...
I like the way you use the color, all is alive, and the texture, every point with that intention of texture. Lots of people paints very good but with no texture, I like it, I really like it.
Well keep on it
PD: still self taught? Awesome
Thanks Zarquino! Yeah, texture is really important so I keep practicing it. And yes, still self taught.
Update:

Nice updates, looks fresh. For some reason, the once that I commented on earlier are the posts I see when I look around here. Good timing that is! ^__^
Thanks Joakim, I try to stay fresh.
I made myself a new avatar, which looks better up on the border of course.
And finished this bastard off.

Aw, now I have to stop recognizing you as the strawberry fish. I suppose it is good to stay fresh, though. I really oughtta get an avatar of my own going soon. Your new one has me only capable of thinking 'orly?', due to my perception suffering from Internet Owl Syndrome.
Man does that final Skull Collector look awesome. Like the guy before said, the texture's great, and you really bumped that aspect up between that other and the final. I really need to start learning to paint with texture in mind.
Thanks Sunwise! I liked the strawberry fish as well but I wanted to make an avatar from scratch to fit the colors of the board. I didn't really have orly in mind at the time though. I just like owls.
Some WIP-crap from today:

"Why sleep when you can paint?" my old grandfather used to say.
Or actually he never did say that.

Your grandfather was a wise man. Or hypothetically would have been.
I tried to glean some things from your style in my recent WIP, blocking things out instead of sketching, refining from general to specific and trying to use my brush strokes to textural advantage. Thanks for the inspiration, eh. :D The stuff goin' on with the Ganesha's exciting. Incidentally, what's the brush like that you're primarily using, just out of curiosity?
Sunwise: Haha I didn't really know I had a style, but it's flattering nonetheless!
Mydrim: Yes of course I'm random! What else is there?
Doodles from yesterday while watching some crap on TV like... Two and a Half Men and Sex and the City.

This one sure takes its sweet time. Progress shot once again.

I like it a lot, but I think maybe its missing something more in the foreground? maybe another character closer to the viewer, like racoons pokin out looking at them or watching the firework or something.'
edit: maybe on the left there, because theres an empty gap sort of

Doodles they may be but they've got real character. I like them a lot. Your creatures are excellent - putting in all those highlights was definitely worth the time it must have took! Mr Delicious makes an interesting point - another silhouette in the foreground could look good as long as it doesn't take away from the main action. I look forward to seeing the final piece - not long to go now from the looks of things![]()
Thanks for the advice, guys! I tried to see to it, but I won't have more time for this one right now so I'll get back to it later. Just see it as finished for now.

ohh, nice! looks great dude, if you were to add more, try some christmas lights lining the bottom maybe.

Thanks Delish, maybe I will! Right now I'm awfully sick of it though.
Here's a new WIP which will be a christmas gift for a friend of mine.

Dreamworker: Thanks! It was actually made in a size so that it could be a wallpaper, but I wasn't sure people would use it. I'll get a proper wallpaper-sized one up soon.
