    hey

    hey dude,

    nice going for the studies. just keep at it. dont lose in mind the basic shape of a head. it has a front side and top direction. all your lines for the head should be relative to those lines. i think about those lines and that works for me, not getting your head 'wonky'. i did a paintover. i already sent you on msn but i'll share for everyone else too...

    @Jens: Its hard to get rid of the generic ones. Most of the time I still need a construction underneath with some stiffness as a result. I'm really trying to get looser but still be accurate. thx for the reply!

    @Teh Gosu: thx for the help. I'll keep in mind the construction.

    @ravenslayer: I dont really care about personality now, let me first learn how to draw a proper head before thinking about expression and personality
    thx for the reply.

    @w00tw00t: thx

    Not as many head studies as I would like but I've been busy with webdesign too for some behindthescreens project

    I tried some inkt sketches, hard as hell but I'm getting a grip at it I think. Last ones are better then my first ones I believe

    @Hyver: thx!

    @unit-tx-12: not even close but thx!

    @dannyboy91: tips, hmm. Perspective is something you gotta learn first, then try to draw much stuff from life (something I should do more). Do perspective constructions, etc..
    I learned most from scott's dvds
    http://thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/gr...bertson_g.html

    @Flutic: you obviously never watched star wars Anti gravity haha

    @dsg: thx!

    @Lyno: thx dude.

    Some pencil sketches for IDW but I didnt make the deadline. I'll prolly render the one below. And yes there is a mistake at the back, I'll fix it later

    Hey. Thanks for visiting my sketchbook. Thise ink & marker sketches look fantastic.

    Yeah. When it comes to robot design, Feng Zhu DVD is great. I recently bought some book about robot design. It's written by Keith Thompson and the title is "50 robots to draw and paint". At first I thought it was coloring book for children but inside there was rather professional conceptart info. Check it out.

    Found it About time I left you a comment here I suppose. First of all: UPDATE I'm sure you've done a lot of sketching in the meantime, even though you're busy with the website and everything

    For the facestudies: some of them seem to lean to one side, although in that last bunch of faces you corrected that already. Keep in mind that the head is a 3d object which follows a certain perspective. Again, those last ones are better.

    The ID stuff is really nice, I like how you go from thumbnails which are just a black spot to something more refined (inspired by Scott Robertsons books right? I ordered a couple of them and are waiting for them to get here ). Take care with the pencilwork though that you don't loose the playfull aspect of your drawings by erasing too much. I prefer using a pen for this, as it forces you to do it right first time, but a couple of mistakes only make your final drawing more solid. I like those Photoshop sideviews, but I think I already said that

    Edit: once again, smileys rule sorry for that. -_-

    @yoitisi: lol yeah the website, it will be finished some day:p
    faces are so hard to do them realistic, I fuck it up most of the time unless I really pay more attention to the 3D shape. Thx for the comments!

    @Deodatus: thx for the visit I appreciate it, take care!

    @Cederix: I already moved out, its pretty sweet here in california

    Yeah, sorry for the lack of updates. Last couple of weeks/month has been pretty busy. I made the big step and moved out to LA for art classes.
    I'm taking Kevin Chen's conceptdesign academy wich starts feb. 9th.
    Some cool instructors like Anthony Francisco and Carlo Arellano and also the workshops in between are pretty sweet with Khang Le, Chris Appelhans, Bill Perkins, etc. Looking forward to this.

    And in addition to this I'm taking 4 art classes at college wich start feb. 19th.
    Ow and I've been to the massive black workshop last week in seattle, got me even more motivated, holy crap the workshop was amazing.

    Here are some pics from the workshop.
