Some updates from a comic idea I'm collabrating on.
Just some quickish 'problem solving' sketches.

Any crits on the upwards shot of the female would be much appreciated.

Hopefully alot more rough and finished images from this project to come.

YEah boi, thats the spirit, different mediums rock the house.
although, your stuff still rocks. maybe splash some color on some of these and see where it goes, could be an adventure.

    Hatching, Colours, Females.

    Well heres the next post.
Playing with some hatching and basic digital colours.
Yes, the red females face is too flat.
Plus, a few pages that I didn't scan last time, featuring rough cartoons of Jim Morrison and Elvis Presley.

    C & C away.

Hey man thank you for the comment, I have always known my anatomy is a weak point of mine. But! I have been trying to work on anatomy. For me I feel lost looking at actual images. I'm not always sure which lines will give me the desired detail I am always looking for. But I'll have more up soon and I'll probably be working on a lot of anatomy from here on out.

Alright man thanks for the tip. For me it's not so much shapes, I get all of that and the 3d construct of everything, i just more or less like to make things my own and I draw right from my mind. Nothing you see in my sketchbook is drawn from a referenced image. If and when I don't forget to bring my Book with me tomorrow I can show you some of my more recent studies. I tend to keep things on a very artistic blend rather then keeping it close to Realism. I like realism but sometimes I think to myself, "if I wanted to paint a perfect or sketch a perfect person I would rather be a photographer."

I don't know if that makes sense.

Great linework dude! Love the way you making your characters don't look flat dot's using any shading - just the appropriate shapes and lines. BTW: your website is a wip? Coz it allows me to see only homepage no matter which link i click.

The tones on 'ArnieWeb' are beautiful. Airbrush isn't a common material used in this type of forum (that I am aware of ) but you work with it really well. The pic that looks like Hulk split into four on post #17 is brill, the teeth are very small and a bit too plentiful but again the tones of the skin are superb. Keep it up, your style is sweet!

Lou Naylor - Thanks for all the kind words about my airbrushing (the arnie and the hulk pic). I need to do more. I have a half finished pic at the moment, so hopefully that will be posted in a week or two.

Gibb - Thanks for the kind words, and yeah he was exagerated enough.
