The pencils are good, they have some good lines.
But that first enviro is blowing my mind away. The colours and mood are awesome.

well, i dunno man... it was mainly a photo composite that i just painted over...
it felt to me like i was cheating. (i am rather proud of it tho, i did put a lot of work into it)
i did another one that wasn't as good, in fact it was pretty boring in comparison and it kinda depressed me because i realized that i NEEDED to do the photo composite first... im just not good enough yet to just DRAW what i want (with environments anyway)
and because i have to rely so heavily on photo composites for my environments, im extremely limited with what i can create. soooo, maybe some day i'll do some more, but in the mean time i'd like to try to get better at drawing environments without the photo composites.

i posted these t-shirt designs in the finally finished section, but that thread dropped off the face of the earth, so i'll go ahead and post em here just to consolidate.

btw, i may not update this thread that often, its not because i'm a lazy bastard that plays video games and watches tv all the time, its because im constantly doing art in all forms, graphic design, photography, collage, motion graphics, music (analog and digital) etc..
im going to try to post more of my OTHER art here too, not just sketches.
then maybe you guys will understand how fucking busy i am all the time.
    haha

anyway, here are the t-shirt designs:

It's one thing to have the requisite skills to push your pencil back and forth. It's another thing to have the collective skills and the general mindset of someone who must be creatively expressive, in order to feel as if he or she is properly living their lives.

complete2 is one of these people. If he goes for a period of time without doing something creative, he becomes cranky and ill.

There are other people who have considerable skills who wish to do great things, but are limited by their own sense of deficiency, or they simply don't have the emotional drive to explore their own potential. These kind of people generally comprise the very much-needed throngs of skilled 'worker bees', who do the kinds of graphics/art jobs that are serviceable to their clients, but do not rise to the level of someone whose life is literally all about the high-end creative endeavors that we all aspire to.

complete2, you have moments of brilliance, while constantly applying your considerable skills to various mediums. Where you say you fall short (in your environments and such), is where you obviously need to grab your balls and dive in head first. You need to get all those really crappy attempts out of your system before you end up taking command of that which previously messed with your head.

I've always encouraged you to take on a totally different kind of project, to get yourself 'out' of your own comfort zone. I'm trying to do that also. It's really so fucking difficult to do.

That's what these threads are all about. We look up to such iconic people... well, such accomplished people, such as the Mike Mignolas, Joe Quesadas, Hayao Miyazakis, and the Marko Djurdjevics, and we want to be like them. We wish we could be one-tenth as productive, as successful as them in our lives.

complete2's approach is a great example of how you can get on the road to doing that. complete2 is someone who actually lives this life, as opposed to someone who applies their skills as a hobby. You quite literally have to eat, breathe & shit this life every day.

Yeah that was gross analogy, but it appropriately fits.

    complete2 does not suck.

    thanks guys

i got back from my trip early monday morning, sick as a fucking dog.
i got some sort of respiratory infection making me hack up all kinds of brown shit...
so i haven't felt like drawing or doing anything productive in the past few days.
BUT, i did fuck around in fruity loops a bit and came up with a couple things:

    this one i did tonight:
    MUSIC LINKS:
    http://www.thedirtsyndicate.org/music/sweet.mp3

and this one was a test of some new drum samples i downloaded:
    http://www.thedirtsyndicate.org/music/piano_test.mp3

    more drawings coming soon.
sorry i've been posting so much stuff that has nothing to do with this site, i'll get back on track soon.
    i promise.
