Camara - Cheers! I wasn't keen on it because I feel it lacks design and halfway through I felt it was sorta cheesy! The hand holding the apple could definately use some work, it received so little attention compared to everything else.

JARhead - Thanks so much, people noticing my improvement spurs me on even more like a vicious cycle....but good hehe.

Still working on my own graphic novel project, and I'm still obsessed with the design of tropical beetles; hence the first image was born
Also taking part in this weeks ChOW, threw some quick lines over a thumbnail to make the foundations of my piece.

yeah man, your development is awesome!

i really like your latest chow - my fav bit is the girls feet coz it really makes her feel as if shes got half her body weight on her toes and half on him - its just right...

the colours are, also, supreme! the light through her dress man!!

Camara - Cheers mate, glad you like it. I was aiming for a really desaturated picture with hints of saturation scattered through it...but it eventually evolved into the vibrant image I usually make - not that easy to change it up some times!

strybjorn - Thanks! The feet are one of my favourite areas too.

I choose a different way to warm up today About an hours work.

Jens - You're spot on, thanks for the crit! I decided to act on it and actually try a master study (my first)

So yeah, here's today's first attempt at a master study. I think I put too much of my bright colour choices in this (i tried to copy the original, honest!) and certain stuff is off. Instead of working some more on this one I'll make another one tomorrow, this was really fun.

I haven't stopped by in a while, but there's some amazing improvement here. You're getting a really good sense of color, and the last two.... if the first one was a Caravaggio, then you nailed it(even if it's not, you captured the mood, which is awesome by itself). Great job.

Rockin book you have here. Those last few master studies and the CHOW entries... very cool. I would try to give a poignant critique but I'm still a bit taken back by the studies.

    Keep on rockin,

In a hurry at the moment so I'll reply next time, for the time being have the only sketch from my Sweden holiday last month. A little girl stared at us the whole journey, she was really cute like a Moomins character.
