Tried my hand at painting from ref, not sure how it turned out but I`ll be doing more.

SKETCH BOOK ^
20 minute water exercise, no ref.
Little update on the wave.
Another update on the wave D:
Wow, that's looking super realistic!
Your latest update is very nice, I see your learning how to use the tablet quite well. Would like to see some pencil works also, foundations are key for the growth of an artist. solid start to your book, keep up it coming please.
I really dig these landscape speedpaints. Keep it up!
Hey people, very little to update on the side of digital work, I've been focusing on pencils.
Problem is, I have a scanner, but it's busted to shit. So until I find a decent camera/working scanner I'm going to have to stay in the dark.
:/
(I know I borked the perspective up here with the power lines in the middle, forgot to edit them out)
Borked. haha.
I dont think they look too bad, would be better if they went at an angle though.
Like it..
More =]
Apple for joo.
No ref.
Another apple for Joo.
Some puffeh clouds.
Aww.
HI,
I really like picture manta and Junk. GOOD JOB
some idea for you
- for manta maby you can add some shadow of manta go down in wather (no strong)
- for Junk maby they are too much detail in the air. I cant read bottom part of picture, maby add some detail of building or car or what they are to recognize place.
push more
Thx for the reply in my sketchbook.
I love the clouds.

Oh, and a Koshime inspired sci fi sketch, enjoy.
Working on a white rose for a friend, this is what I have so far. Updates to come. (Hopefully)

And another 20 minutes in, going to sleep now. I'll update more tommorrow as and when I paint, goodbye.
If i could paint like that i would die happy
Thats really good, can't wait till its finished
Danke Venom, I shall finish it tommorrow.
For now, another update. Top right is the reference image, top left is mine at 400% zoom, and the bottom is mine again at 100%
Crits are welcome.
You should work at a much higher resolution than you're working on right now.
Like 1000x1000 pixels square or so.
300dpi.
All the color studies are great. I love the landscapes and, like I said the wave was one of my favs. Love to see some larger still-lifes' with more than one object. It sounds weird but challenging for you. Sometimes I've turned my bedroom into a studio with my shitty laps for lighting.
Hey Smokey! Nice work. You're doing pretty well with the referenced stuff, and your apples look tasty. I dig the water, too... I suck so badly at water. How do you do it?
There is one thing bugging me about some previous pieces... The stamps. (or defined brushes... Y'know what I mean.) Like, with the trees and stuff. Try giving the impression of trees and grass, or something... I'm not sure how to do it, because I haven't really tried it, but give painting them individually a go!![]()
Keep going, man, 'coz I'm subscribing. ^_^ Woot!
No updates on the rose, but I swear I've been working on it. It's just taken a back seat in life at the moment. Should be finished soon, though.
Here's a tiny image to keep the vultures at bay, I'm alive I tell you!
Also, how the hell do you add text before each image?
EEP! I will, don't WHIP me! Goodness! o_O
Woodland scenery, here I come!
Text before each image?
Simple. Don't use the attachment manager.
Upload on an external host and use IMG tags.
But it's far easier to use attached images, imo.
Finally got my hands on a camera!
Just perspective studies. I was too excited to take many that weren't blurry or shaky as crap, but you get the gist of things.
More to come.
