Your figures and gestures and faces are really good

That last one is interesting, the head might be a bit big, but you seem to have tried something new with the colors there, I think it's great! Keep pushing!

Hey everyone!

My last piece didn't get picked for the digital art exhibition thing..pretty bummed.
Haven't posted in ages...here's a little sumthin....

I should be working harder.....i just feel so stagnant and unmotivated....
Anyway..I have around 6 months more till I leave the army...can't wait for the day. I hope that i can really get myself into gear when I'm out.

i think you can leave the thighs a little bigger like before, but the calves look better now. i think they came out too much and made her look too bendy at the knees.

Well I'm certainly sorry I haven't been here in a while, your paintings are still looking fantastic...your painting style is such that I could never ever master...so...not mine. Hahaha! It's great though, to see how different two peoples' creative processes can be, and how much better yours works than mine right now. I really need to work on my paintings. Well, keep up the fantastic work. I would say the same as Kian in respect to criticism, keep studying the figure, there are there. Pro work, man. Keep it up.

hp: yea...i have a fear of hands.....i find it so hard to draw them..must do more studies..........no matter how many i draw though...i keep forgetting my hand studies...

i kinda messed up the previous painting..

Here's a sargent study sketch. Proportions are horribly wrong..nxt time i'll start out with a drawing first.

hey mc2.
wow, great porgress. I was gonna suggest you waited with coloring and finishing stuff, and just concentrate on sketching. getting arm& leg lenght right, getting stance and foreshortening. but the last page is fine in that respect.
there's still some to be gained in that respect tough; like the elf here. his one hand is abnormally large, but you meant to do that. the other one's a little too small tough. the arms should be a little longer, and you made him hunch his back a little. then bent his knees a tad.. its a really awkward way to stand. I'd also start working on ppl from hight or low angles, to get the feet off that one line.

Been in abit of an art slump...Here's a random speed paint i jus did 45min-1hr.
It's pretty fun to paint loosely.

EDIT: added another random speed painting i just did. 1+ hr. Mayb close to 2hrs....

Ow, art slumps come and go to me a lot, just keep doodling and scribbling something and before you know...BAM, good ideas haha

Your colors are looking really vibrant and gorgeous. I think that some parts of your faces are flattening out a little bit watch the width of your eyes, they seem to be stretching and squashing a bit too much, look at your own face for reference on that. It might be a good idea do a self portrait or a study of a photo of someone's face and maybe just focus on the mouth area, because that is also seeming skewed.
I can't tell you enough how much I admire your painting ability...keep pushing and growing! DRAW.

hey dude, the speed paints look nice...the gasmask girl's pose looks kinda rigid though, just something to think about...

the sargent study actually looks pretty nice IMO...

the bg gate thingy with the painting of the girl with the shawl/poncho-y thing looks like it's floating. i think if you grounded it a little by working on the midground a little it would be a great finished painting.

Another hooded figure!!
Yea the colours are really horrible this time haha.....for this and the previous few paintings, I've been picking my colours individually without using any fancy layers. This one kinda failed miserably. I kinda like it in B/W though....

I also included a close-up of the image...I like the looser painting style I've been playing with.

EDIT: whoops the close-up is...pretty big...it's actually 100%..lemme know if it annoys any one of you and I'll shrink it down....
