hmm sounds like a tough subject...
I guess with 'heart' you mean the physical heart that pumps the blood around, not the symbolic meanings and interpretations (emotions and stuff)? Just to clear that up

Oh man, the macabre kids will be comin' out of the woodworks for this one. I hope that someone takes the non-literal route and goes with a creature that harvests the cores or centers of something. I mean hell artichokes have hearts.

a realy simple and fairly practical concept here, i tried a room full of dripping gore and a hiddeous bone crunching flesh ripping horror...but it just wasnt workin for me so i decided to try n go against the grain. this creature is like a huge dragon and adult can be up to 7km long(ignore scale on image) and has a drill inside it which comes out of its mouth and it drill through the heart of condemded planets, extracting all the ores, fossil fuels and precious stones in the process then crushing the two half of the planet left with its imense tail and the small armada of space craft wiht it hoover up all the pieces to be used for construction back on the colonies.( laptop battery lowgta cut off here, kinda vauge i know)
