Nice to see you Black Frog!
Thanks for sharing this update.
... And just for you, a WIP of a picture I did yesterday.
Hope you'll like it
End of my first round before going back into it to fix the perspective and take it to the next detailled level:
First detail pass: (over did it on the blown up lights... a bit too garish)
Here's the final. I went back to a more elegant, more subdued version.

Thanks for posting. Great artwork. I really like the image inspired by Moebius.
I hope you don't mind two small questions
In the last image with overpass (steps between 7 and 8) you moved from more less contrasty and desaturated palette to more intense one. Do you achieve this more by painting new colors on top or just using levels/curves. I ask this beacause I tend to sometimes start with first colors in similar way. They may seem to look harmonious but very gray and it's sometimes hard push them into something more vibrant without loosing the initial mood.
Also in some of your images the light looks overexposed while the darks are pushed a bit less. Is it done on purpose to make it look good in print or is it just your stylistic choice?
Cheers.
Farvus> it's usually a pass with levels, curves, color and saturation adjustments. I tend to always end up trying plenty of things to fine tune the mood at the end.
As for the darks and the lights, it's just a matter of personal taste, but I usually mix it up.
the colours on the moebius piece are just amazing!

yo, this new stuff of yours is just so inspiring! the bird knight is too cool. may i ask, is this all in photoshop?
Velocity Kendall >Thank. I tried to be as faithful as I could to his work.
henri>Yup, it's all Photoshop. I used to use painter quite a lot but now I finally ditched it completely.
I appreciate your work.
Conte> I appre iate yours too, your work in the "finished stuff" section shows a subtle sensibility for design, post some more.
I'm testing new photoshop techniques lately, new for me anyway, trying to learn as much as I can from the application, tricks and effects, been overlooking that for years, feeling like I could do without it, and finally thought it wouldn't hurt to get some more skills under my belt.
Here are a couple more techniques test. nothing fancy, just playing around.

You are fancy, that's all. Or you may just have magic golden hands.
Anyway, I'm always both surprised and in awe seeing each new work of yours.
Each of your images is full of wonders. Genial work. I also love the colors on Moebius piece.
