frank
lovely work
I reckon you're probably greying out those girls chin lines a bit too much on those portraits
Your traditional work is really strong, great figure drawings. Where in SF do you go for drawing and painting, I'm curious for places that have more to offer in terms of life drawing and painting.
Can't wait to see your newborn entry, too
your pencils are just amazing.. your oils are great.. this is just a great sketchbook period. You are so skilled!
mmmmmmmmmmm teysty!!!!!!!!!!
I really like your oils, gangsta. The textures and colours are rubbing my visual g-spot :o lovely.

I promise to draw every day, and try to post everyday!(Changed)
Being inspired by some of you guys,

I'll post any junk I make, in hopes of getting much
constructive criticism and LEARN! (:
Sketchbook!
Old Sketchbook Full of fear, I believe.
Really like your interpretation of Gorey's "Fanny" character; I also like how you've improved your hands, and especially feet, since then -- your women no longer have man-feet, hurray!
Keep goin' strongCheers

Been slaying over this painting...18 hours a day literally with 5-6 hours of sleep for the last two weeks. I've never done anything this extensive and demanding before. Each of the smaller character took about 2 to 3 hours to render out, it was tiresome but fun at the same time and i learned so much about color while doing this piece! The original document that i worked on is pretty big, about some 10000 pixels by 4000 pixels, so i work pretty big. It's too bad the final submission have to be shrunk down to minimum 1000 pixels width. I'd wish i had more time because i found out about the contest two weeks ago.... The main complaint i have about this painting is that after i convert the RIFF file to photoshop, i lost most of my shiny textures, those were the highlight of the painting and no you can barely see them, probably only a little when zoomed in to a 100 percent...oh well...
All done from imagination. Any likeness or similarities are probably going to be coincidental....lol
I used Corel Painter 11 with the artist oil bristle brush and some brush tweaking...
Story: So pretty much, the Sumerians(the oldest civilization to date) has this tale of how an alien race known as the Anunaki(s) created man from genetically altering the embryo of a Homo-erectus and planting them in fourteen birth goddess after a ten month gestation period.
I kind of wanted a more human appearance of the Anunaki people and not something out of this world because man was created in their image after all. So the scene here is where Inanna, goddess of love, fertility and war presents the the birth of Adam, the first human, to the committee.
Still kicking the lead around I see. Glad to see you still post here Kuraudo. Your last work is very impressive, cant wait to get to your level. I think the textures you applied to your paintings really helps them become alive! I would be honored if you helped me advance in my sketchbook sometime. =-]
Look forward to seeing more.
what is a Kuraudo anyway ?![]()

Thats to be expected with how great the rest of your work is.
Dude that wonderful! Great work, it's a shame a lot of the detail gets lost on such a large image.. so thanks a bunch for posting close ups!
Cheers man,
matt
Good lord! Your work tells so much at once! The cowboy moleskin a few pages back, and your digital stuff.

omg the linework
I voiced a FUCK verbally when I scrolled over this
fuuuuuuuuuuuu
edit: what pencil did you use for those
Good lord....
That's incredible, the image as a whole and the detail up close, each face is so well executed, how each stroke is so glossy, it's almost as if the software had a built in wet paint simulator, so realistic..
*paws at the screen trying to feel the paint*
Nice work, I really like the little girl painting. Very solid.
~Slayer
Wow, sorry - the images of the 'birth' painting were still loading whilst I posted last! Incredible piece of work, looks like it set you back a few hours! Nice job..
~Slayer

the drawing of your newest painting really struck me. very well balanced line structures and composition, ornamental and organic forms. in the finished painting those qualities get lost somehow, and your values are not on the same level as your linework. especially the mid-tones are too dark i think and the dark tones too light, at least in many areas. nevertheless, great composition and drawing!
aw K_MON maaaaan!
Gosh... I simply adore your work, different, unique and really inspiring. Such lovely details and awesome concepts, and those skintones... beautiful![]()
