Mhh, i having trouble understanding the structure, maybe if you make the lines that go behind the building more thin and the lines that are in front more broad will make the image more easy to understand, also, try adding some shadows and values, i think that would help, good luck.

    Thanks for your comments,

Thanks kawakaze, hopefully I can do some more before the deadline.

Christian223, I forgot to mention that the 1st sketch is the floorplan and an elevation that's why it looks confusing & on the 2nd sketch I will follow your advice with the lines as for the value, I need to update it, I just left the shadows of the 3D volumes which shape was flat on top not rounded, so I will work on that.

    Thanks again.

Nice perspective work.....the house at the end is really well rendered. What did you use? coloured pencils?

The first one is also very nice.

Thanks mull77, I used Prismacolor pencils & Chartpak Markers, I am learning to paint with the wacom but it's being kind of hard, I'll keep trying.

Thanks Blaz, yes I am very patient, and I'm trying to learn to not be so patient, sometimes I spend alot of time that I wish I didn't.

    Thanks for your comments.

Need some guidance, what do I need to improve my tones, lighting, mood?

Should I try any tutorials to learn to paint with the Wacom?

From the line work to the skectch with tones something goes wrong that I can't understand, please let me know what do you recomend me to do, study or practice.

    Thanks.

    Some more sketches.....

    Thumbs up

Hi, i think that you should do very basic value studies, try to do some self portraits and still life as a training, that should make better your drawings of perspective, wich you seem to handle quite well, i would recommend you to do that first, are you studying from some books?.
    Keep posting!.

Christian223, Thanks for stopping by & for your advice, you are right, I have done some value studies but just looking at other value studies or geometric figures, I will try with human forms, so I can really understand how the light works against odd surfaces, not only cubes & spheres.

I'm reading some Andrew Lewis, Design First for 3D artists, Rapid Viz (this one is really helping me sketch faster & get rid of my technical drawing, still haven't finish it).

    Thanks again.

This concept was supposed to be submitted to the EOW #40 Holy Hall of Holographs, never posted, never finished, I'll finish it here in my sketchbook.

You seem to have a good understanding of perspective in your drawings. Some of your architectural plans look like they're for a business, are they? My suggestions on photoshop and the wacom tablet: just scan in some of your drawings and start doodling to get the hang of it.

Kuraudo, I have fun with perspective, still have some problems with ellipses, alot of times I create really basic volumes in 3d and pick a shot that I like and from there I continue the sketch (after I saw Barionteri work this way in the magazine ImagineFX), so you have a really good perspective base, yes, some of these images are from projects that I design, some of them are built, some of they are just concepts and some of them have changed before been built. I am going to follow your advice and start doodling on some of the drawings I already created, sounds like a very good idea, thanks alot.

Here is another sketch in progress that I will finish in this sketchbook.

    It is called NORTH GATEWAY

Another bunch, sorry to include some of the images that are incomplete or not so good, I just want to show what I have been doing these past months so I can get feedback from the exercises I've done, on what my weaknesses are, what am I doing right, what should I practice, read, do to improve my conceptual designs & art.

Thanks for taking your time to watch & read.

Updated sketch for EOW#47 "Rapunzel Tower", I want to add some kind of fog to create depth, I will also add the princess to the front tower soon, maybe I'll try some colors.

    Renamed to HYWU KINGDOM.

This one I really like the concept, and I definitely want to finish it like a piece of art, it will take me alot of practice and learning but I think it will be worth it.

    It's called "Hanging Cliff Waterfall".

    Please give me your input.

    Thanks.

great variation. i think w many of your pencil work you may want to vary the leads u use. a lot of detail seems to get lost w those soft leads. i think your compositions are really good id just like to see more detail in them. i really like the high contrast black/white thumbnails u have. u should experiment more with your mid ranges though. anyway good to see u all over the board. keep it up.
