That's a really nice piece! It has a brooding sense of atmosphere about it and some of your mark-making on the creature's hide is very satisfying. I remember seeing your stuff a while ago - you've come on in leaps and bounds lately. I look forward to seeing more in your sb. Keep it up!

I only get about 3-4 hours in per day. And i'm open to all crit and suggestions ! be brutal with me!!! I must learn.
i'll post my weekly CHOWs as well as all the practice work i do in the week, lunchbreaks and outside work.

Nice work! Do you feel more comfortable sketching with pencil or tablet?
Well, i find it a lot easier with pencil and paper - and i've found it takes some time to actually get tablet work up to the same standard as pencil work. But i need more practice in the digital realm!!!
I feel more comfortable now than i did a year ago when i started out with concepts!
WIP for this weeks chow - red riding hood. All crit and comments welcome!!!
Thanks
These CHOWs are gorgeous! I really like your colors in them... And these lunchtime faces are pretty nice too. =) Great sketchbook! Keep 'em coming!
Very nice on the ice druid. The background has a sort of "Fortress of Solitude" feel. His face is good too - it's got a lot of mood and character, despite not being fully visible. I'm trying to think of a good crit to come up with, but am drawing a blank.![]()
Take a look at my series of in-depth critiques, like this one of Salvador Dali's hidden portrait of Lincoln.
Scott's Sketchbook: Check out my sketchbook. Will swap C&Cs.

I'll have some more updates soon on more sketchbooky work - havent got round to putting them into a jpg!
I'm hoping more people will take a peek in here!Crit away, i know i need it!

Awesome head studies! Looks like you're improving at lightspeed!
ShootTheWorks
lens flare renaissance
haha thankyou!I hope so!
I've just left my job to do art fulltime, so hopefully i'll be defying the speed of light......oooorrr being a lazy arse.....we'll see!
your portraits and painting skills are pretty sweet. you have a handle on figures and anatomy.. but occasionally they seem to come out a bit stiff.
try doing some crazy stylized flowing gestures. i think that will loosen up the look of them a bit. in fact, try doing a few each time before you start drawing, to loosen up your arm a bit.
nice work. (especially some of the chows.. the navigator, mr. hyde, and red riding hood are all awesome)
Thanks Stonecurly! You are right! I need to get speedier with my figures to get more fluidity
just a couple of re-painted updates from my old work. Quite fun to re-do elements and try out new things with these. Also to see if my improvements in my recent pieces can effect these ones! Hope they have!Crit is always welcome!
