I don't believe that the spear man is the slowest and the firestarter is the fastest. Seeing that the spear man only has a spear and te firestarter has the whole mechanic package, the spear man should be the faster one and the firestarter the slower one.

the saucer enviro is awesome , the skin study is nice as well
You might want to make the flame throwers a little smaller, just to make the guy seem faster
Great progress though, keep it up and stop by sometime

Silvenon:thanks, just draw a lot and you get there
jedininjaman:thanks, yeah they look a bit unpractical indeed. i will

i love this brush. still doing color expirements. this one i started with a 67x100 or so pixel image. then i get some abstract colors/values to work. then i blow it up again. then i draw in detail and stuff, thats the same way i did with the lava piece.
    ill go to bed now

I love that last piece man, really great. It would be very cool and dramatic if her torso and head would be in shadow, like the lights from the door just wont reach it. Might change the mood but I would love the feel.

Keep sharing man, I love your stuff!

You're taking new directions on your work which will only help your original works when you get back to them - couldn't give you a ton of advice at this point since I am after doing similar things.

Are you color picking at all with your photo ref stuff...or are you getting well trained? they are pretty sweet, and the snow landscapes look great, the sharp edges totally pull your eye through the piece.

The wedding piece isnt working for me yet, ill try to describe why in case it helps - it needs a bit more color ambiance, kinda dull when the shadows could have more color. The blurry upper areas and back pillars are so soft and clash with the harder stroke style found in the abstract people. I also think there are hindering perspective problems looking at the floor plane, and the pillars and walls...i know its quick and suggested but try and get them accurate composition wise, I think it would look more balanced if you crop out a bit of the dead space on the right...the bright dress helps a lot but it still feels like its pulling left a bit much...ya, I'm being fussy!

Simple but effective car designs too!

    Vimerge: hehe bedankt makker!
Jakers: hey man, no im not being trained, just finding out stuff all on my own here. i just look at great artists and try to learn from them. i totally agree on the weddingpiece, i actually hate that background, but at that time i just didnt know how to solve it. composition is indeed a bit imbalanced. i also agree on you being fussy but thats a good thing haha. thanks for this post man!
    localfatheaded:thx!

i want to get back to basic with form rendering. this is the first pencil sketch i did in a long while, so that explains how crappy it worked out. i'll train this far more to try and be more consistently in use of soft and sharp edges. i want to try cast drawing but just dont know where to start what kind of pencil and paper is good for cast drawing?
