Thanks for the replies guys..
This is for the chow 62 (aztec space traveller), it´s not even closed to be finished. i hope i can handle the colors. Any suggestions would be great!
I didn´t managed to finish the chow 61 (chief librarian of the lost sea scrolls), but here is what i got so far.
Even i have no time to make the entries in time, i´ll nevertheless get more and more sketches which i can continue working on whenever i´ve got a littlle space![]()
Yeah...:I´m so happy, finally finished a cow entrie in time.
I think i slowly get into this coloring thing.....practice;practice;practice![]()

nice job! i think u should work on you line qualities though. in reality, you don't see lines on the body. artists just use lines just like people use words to express what they want to say. but all in all, i like your work, nice and loose. btw, thanks for passing by my sketchbook.![]()

thanks kshock, i know what you mean....and i´ll practice hard to come up with some good lines in my sketches.
Well, it sucks that i can´t update more often, but work is taking my breath right now and in my freetime i try to make some entrys foe the cows and chows........so i can just post my new chow-wip for the black queen. This time i try a different render technique...tell me what you think.....
hey there nice style I really like the scratchy look in some of the pieces keep up the good work![]()

This is the stuff!! Loving it! People in here really do amazing work from imagination. That's really awesome for me. Are you gong to work more on the girl in this last update or is she going to stay as a speedie? Because the piece would really look great with nice colors and lighting. Have you seen Carlos Cabrera's videos? If you haven't, look HERE. I'm sure they'll be very usefull.
Awesome stuff, Delmar. Thanks for the kind words in my book, dude. Keep going and posting! Maybe post some traditional/pencil stuff also? Later, man!![]()
Hey, thank you very much for the reply in my sketchbook, good advice, I'll get to it as soon as I can!
Real nice SB u got there, I really like the COW "winged healer" piece, and the lines of the two ChOWs in post #32 are real nice too, hope to see more of that
I'd would say maybe try and work on rendering? In the last chow, something is making it inconsistent, maybe it's because the lines aren't much visible so the colors makes the character look "wigly" (dunno if that's a word).
Hope you get what I'm saying.... It's not making much sense![]()
anyways, keep it up!
there are so many things i´ve got to work on, for now i decided to get back to pencil drawings ( i really suck in pencils) and do more studies in color theory.
razz: love your work! thanks for the link, i´ll check it out.
sebcbien: Thanks...and your totally right about the rendering stuff, that´s why i will focus more on color theory, values, chroma and so on ...
ellingsworth: thanks...here we go ->
I started a new "real sketchbook", in my old one i really fooled around - never really finished anything i started.
I hope i´m able to keep a certain level in this book, and of course trying to improove the pencil shading.

Keep the posts coming.

Im really diggin your style.
Very unique ideas and interesting characters.
I´ll be watching this sb...
Thank you all for the replies.!
@bradjames: Well i´ve hardly been drawing from ref in the past. I guess that´s why my progress in anatomy was really slow. I guess i learned most by watching other artists. But i´m about to change that, and if you need good reference here is a link to a good thread on this board
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=30
and also www.pbase.com
Books for anatomy i recently bought are Burne Hogarth and Andrew Loomis books
favourite concept design book is "The skillful huntsman" .....that one gives you really a boost in creativity and inspiration
There is also a thread for good books on the forum...i can´t find it right now..
@jamLee: thanks a lot
@Amontilladoag:Thanks. unfortunately it´s not finished. but since i quit my job, i´ll have time to work over all unfinished drawings.
@tmza:thanks, much appreciated.
