Good stuff here. I reacted to what you wrote about using as many lines as possible and avoiding gestures. It just seemed wrong. I noticed that you have already addressed this issue and that you did it for practice purposes. That is interesting. I have not thought about those kinds of exercises before. Perhaps they are beneficial. Regardless of what approach you used the figures turned out very good.

Awesome little creatures/characters, I like them a lot. I like the zbrush model too, pretty good sculpting. But... (And Feel free to tell me to stuff it) The enviros are nice as well, but they feel a little flat. It may be intentional, from what I can tell it seems that the values are to contrasted a bit too quickly, making the eye flow a bit too jagged. Atmospheric perspective is also helpful in this case, making the object far away (back in the horizon) blend together with a soft brush so they don't become to prominent helps. Keep us updated!!

    Hey mate,
thanks for commenting my SB. Yeaaa, I will continuing my studies and I will updating more. I think it is the right way in order to get better and I love it if anyone commenting my work.
I try to do more picture of gestures and poses of the human body and maybe there will be sometime a animal or anything else.

The works just keep on coming! Ha! Looks good, man. I especially love the 3D work. ZBrush stuff always gets me excited. Did you do the textures? If I were to have any suggestions for it I'd say to go ahead and bake in a bit more lighting into that bad boy. Don't be afraid to paint deeper shadows stronger highlights. It can really help sell the texture even with the use of normals later. The sketchbook work is coming along too! Great starts to those paintings and anatomy studies! Keep bringing the good stuff.

It's been a wile since I posted anything. Actually since this year started, I almost didn't draw anything beacuse my clases were getting more and more difficult and I had to read a lot, so I didn't had much time...
But I did DID, at least a FEW things.
Here are all of them (this are just the docs I saved).
You'll see that I been practicing more the work with the figure, I'm getting better and faster.
    So, here it is:

Hey Lennon I was trolling around Sulphur's sketchbook and saw your little tutorial about painting under and over lines, it was great help cheers for that! Also your SB is looking pretty damn awesome your lines have lots of energy and you can tell you have fun doing them haha.

Do you ever take 2D sketches into Z brush and render them out 3D at all?

WOW! Awesome sketchbook. I love all your character designs.
I suppose no matter what I'm drawing, there will always be some sort of question in my mind about it. A work of art (even cartoon art) is never really finished; it is abandoned.

Yeah i second Yor on variety. Your SB is exciting! Love especially the line-work and the coloring of the "strangling-man" piece. And that "balloon octopus", lol, does it wish to fly? I don't see the man with boobie eyes though

Yes, a few times, one of the zbrush sculpture in the first page, the guy with a long and thin face was first a drawing. It´s not dificult, but it seems easier to me to work directly in ZB without a previous drawing. I should practice more though.

I'm really digging your character designs! You push shapes in some really interesting ways, and all of your figures have a liveliness to them, even in the looser sketch stages. I like the gesture/figure sketches as well; even with the rougher ones your knowledge of composition and silhouette really comes through.

Is the horse in your most recent one the rough stage for a more finished model, or are you going to keep it like that? Because I really like the style of it. You get a sense of the movement of the horse without details to clog up the form. It's like a carousel horse in the world of Tron. I'd love to see more figures/animals rendered that way.
