Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook.

Really awesome stuff here. You should know that I really dislike the majority of 3D work that I see. I have not paid to see a computer animated movie within the last two years. I'm telling you this only so that my next comment will have some context to it: I really really love your zBrush work. Your characters have such a wonderful personality and design to them. It is really refreshing to see someone doing such interesting things with 3D.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. By your sketchbook I can see you have a great deal of experience, it is very impressive stuff!

Those last few environments are great, great use of brush strokes on the mountains.

Hey man, some definite progress here, I love these later enviros and your other stuff is comming along nicely too. One little thing is to keep your blacks and whites apart from the colours. When they are mixed in an image, it looks kinda funny and unfinished.

Thanks a lot to all the people that stop by this thread, it means a lot to me.
I haven't been here in a while. I have some finals but I can't study (I just can't), so I start sketching a story board for a 3d short. I'll post some images later.
--Ok, here is my take on Titania the queen that appears in Shakespeare's work.
Hope you like it. I'm really improving my speeds, so I'm kind of happy. Nothing fancy with the pose though.

i loved that fortune teller webpage design, actually saw that a while back and was a bit timid to post anything in ur SB, hehe

thanks so much for tip on focusing on more volume, and i can see that you have a really good grasp on volume; would u say working in 3d programs helps to grasp the 3dimensional space from a painting aspect?

-snootchy, as I posted in your thread, yes, I think it does. It allows you to make lots of light studies, and you learn a lot of the step that one should take while rendering something, as you see how the machine does it. It also helps a lot with materials, as you get to construct them there using sliders, so you can get a material from somewhere, and see how's it made.
Many thanks for the support man.

-rogerb: You really made my day. Thanks a lot.

I have been practicing with this figure exercise for a very long time, and I have found it key in the process of learning. Basically I'm still learning from them, and I put here a few notes that made for myself.
Perhaps I'll upload more of this stuff.
The system that I'm following is pretty common:
    1.The three essential ones:
-The plain figue (no hands, head, or anatomy)
    -The head
    -The hands
    2. Putting it all together:
-Middle shot (or middle plain) [torso, with head and hands interacting]
-Full Body [with head, hands and the complete anatomy, or clothed].
After that I'll follow with BGs (landscapes and constructions)
    Then light, and so on.

I'm mostly working both at hands, and the integration with the head (the middle shot). Obviously I'm not all the time following this program, but its still quite significant.
If this is of any interest for any of you, or if you want to share your methods, please post.

Hey man, really great stuff here. Thank you for your critiques the other day.
Especially like the last post, unfortunately, I don't really have any critiques on this It does seem like a great exercise though, and I'll definitely do something along those lines, thank you for posting

big props for the detailed crash course on drawing the figure in perspective. I especially enjoyed the vertical 3/4, since it is a vantage point that is not used much because of the level of difficulty in foreshortening and 3 point perspective; also big thanks on the 3D tip!

can't wait to see some of your color rendered stuff soon!

snootchy, may take a while for me to post some rendered stuff.

Here, I tried to see if I could follow the same character and then I did some inking with flash. I want to do a comic in this style but it's too much in the way of craig thompson.

There is more detail towards the top than down to the bottom.
I'm trying to get cleaner lines.
I put the process so that you can judge the method.

    THE DRAWINGS:

FIG.1-This is a BOLSHEVIK DEMON, it's the opposite of the last posted BOURGEOIS DEMON. Both fight in Inferis's revolution.
Not fully render, so I may post again after a few days to show the rendered details.

FIG.2-This is my chow entry of this week, I made it a few hours ago, but it's still not finished. The theme was to represent your city as a character, and as I live in Buenos Aires, I couldn't think of anything else to draw.

Thanks a lot Wixxi, I didn't like saw, but you're totally right, and thanks a lot for the kind words.

This is the final piece, I couldn't go much further with it as my tablet is going crazy (I'm using a GENIUS that had already been used, that's what I call gerrilla drawing! )

    CHOW ENTRY AND WIP----------------------------------------------------

Buenos Aires (wich means “good airs¨) once was the the head of the Spanish conquest in south america, it actually helds the La Plata river (silver river) that stands in the name Virreinato del río de la plata. Through that river spanish ships enter and go taking all the goods of the region.

Buenos Aires was also head of the independence but it has been falling every single time in the same destiny. As the cult city that was, full of foreign influence, and provaided with it´s own public univesity (that means free!), it has been the target for every dicator that every existed in Argentina (notably Rosas and a few military dictatorships).

Now it´s time to be held in chains again.

I represented it as a proud and refine lady that is enslaved and beign sold to the higher bidder (always foreing contries). The sexual aspect of beign raped is also important as it show that it´s not beign sold for anything good or productive either. I tried to made some sort of stoic look in her face as she endures yet another of this humilliating tortures.
This is no laughing matter, and I didn´t enjoy much the harsh subject (watch throw my SB and see that it´s not common for me to draw this stuff), but I couldn´t represent this in any other way.
