Hi, I'm new here.
Browsing through all your sketchbooks, was very inspiring.
It made me pick up my pencils again and I started scribbling.
I want to improve my drawing, so any comment is welcome !...

Hi Timon, great to see you started your sketchbook to! I really like your style, with strong linework as a base.
Looking forward to see more of your work here.
I really like your pieces. I love the variety in your linework and shading, it really gives the figures volume and weight. A good thing IMO. I especially like http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1169300219

I got a small Wacom tablet from a friend and tried it out last night. It certainly is fun ! I have a little photoshop experience but lack the knowledge to properly use it with the tablet. Just fooled around a bit.![]()
Maybe someone knows where to find some tutorial or dvd about this kind of drawing ?![]()

Hello there!
Welcome to CA!! I just wanted to say that I really like the first ones you posted. You have a nice style there, with the bold and thick lines used.
I will be looking forward to seeing some of your sketches.![]()

I like the pencils...
As for the hair on the last one, don´t overdo it with the shading. Now its quite blurry and without drawing some single strands, it looks almost plastified.
Maybe draw some more details on the hair, try some crisp shading and play with the values.
But thats just a suggestion, i´m certainly not a guru when it comes to colormanagement![]()
Delmar : thanks for the advice.![]()

Hi Timon, great to see you doing some work with the tablet. You seem to get the hang of it. Nice mood in that last one. Keep going!

Yo
Welcome to ca, I hope you learn lots and improve greatly.
Thanks for the comments in my sb, those are always appreciated.
Wow, this sb is off to quite a strong start. For all your "lack of experience" with digital you seem to be doing well. You are achieving that "mood" that you were talking about. Keep practicing and you are going to be quite good. Your pencil work stands out to me. You seem very confident and your referenced work is quite nice. Keep that up, it will help you improve quickly.
As applies to everyone, keep working on anatomy, you can never practice that too much.
Make sure that you get out there and look at other artists work. Ask questions and look for inspiration.
Keep posting

really nice sketchbook here man, I love your blue pencil sketches. Your lines are very nice and expressive. The digitals are pretty tight too. You already show a great understanding of how digi painting works. Keep posting, and keep up the good work.

hi
nice expressive lines you got going on. really like the gesture drawings. I feel like the horse on the last image has a human-ish eye. but I dunno much about horses. More!![]()
Hi Timon, nice horses! Very expressive work. It's not easy to get the anatomy right and to draw some dynamic poses. Keep going!
