    Jigo's Sketchbook - stufff! [5.23.09]

Hi, I'm new here and thought I should start out simple. I'm a 20 year-old student at the Academy of Art in SF, and i just finished up most of my core classes.

Sorry for picture quality of some of these sketches The first one is at a workshop with our model bob, these are all 10-20 minute poses. The second one is a sketch done in OpenCanvas, no referances and it's been said that those eyers are sufficiently creepy . The third is my mom, a ballpoint pen sketch she wanted me to do. The last few are just short 3-5 minute studies.

You're sitting next to me and saying I shouldn't post in your thread, but you know these are awesome. Post more, and stop being emo. Jerk. Good work, as always.

I like your recent environments. For the ones in color I'm thinking you could squeeze a bit more contrast out of them by darkening your shadows.

Voraz: Thanks! I'm not sure they're "there" yet, but I hope to be more confident without the anal retentiveness.

Chromosome: Thanks for the pep talk, coach.

Purplerose: I was thinking exactly the same thing. I think i ought to play with color temperature more to make it look less calculated.

Great SB. All the pics are very solid, but the thing that really impresses me is your clothed figures, the sketching style flows so nicely.

    Look forward to seeing more.

Like Lukias said, stunning work! Amazing sketches you have here!

I have never really thought of doing these small thumbnails before. Thats actually not such a bad idea after all!

I'm sorry that I couldn't be more constructive. its just that you have so nice art, that I cant really find any aberrations.

I can't help myself to start to imagine what is it like in your school.
The concept design is great! The whole idea is fairly clear.

    Cheers!
