hi! thnx for dropping by...itz really strange tht jack sparrow and jolie r the 2 characters tht i drew first as soon as i got my wacom... :-)
and well, though i am 28 u cud say I am a 13 year old at art coz I remember sketching stuff when i was like 8-9 yrs old, and then i left all tht and only started again round 2 months back :-) tryin to self train...

I hav 1 advice for u...dont leave off this art stuff no matter wht comes up in ur life...else u wud regret it later(like me)...also, a proper art education always does good...

Welcome to the boards!

Glad you've started a book. They're a great way to build a good collection of art, and improve while doing it. Have a look around as see that the artist who are doing great work now didn't always start out that way, but they just worked at it and eventually came up with the goods.

Keep going with the life studies and referencing as well, and then when you've got the basics down, you can go crazy.

hey, thanks for droppin by my SB. That last one looks decent. Keep drawing from life, fastest way. Try doing some more figure studies and proportion and all that jazz. keep it up.

Check this place out, this guy is great for working on ur fundamental drawing skills. I use every technique he talks about. Its an excellent place to learn the basics of pen control.

Consistency is key, just draw everyday, if only for 10 min. you'll get results.

The last one looks good. but i recommend that you do some anatomy studyes to better understand the shapes of the body,
some lines looks like they are without purpose and/or overdone.

Hey mate, keep up the hardf work. When using reff try and be exact in you lines and tones, so you can bring out the forms in an accurate way, and keep usoing refference of you fav artist, actor and from life. Keep it up, savvy?

Hey Raistlin, thanks for visiting my sb. I think something that might help you is setup some still lifes, and bring some lights around your objects, and practice doing some of them. Help you with understanding form,give you practice in shading, and the main thing it will help is drawing from life and direct observation. Also I think a few already suggested, but pratice doing some anatomy/figure studies. I'll be watching you progress. Happy drawing.

hey man,, alot of people visited ur SB said it already = most of artist start out drawing wonky,,, but they progress as they go. The harder they try the better the result.... Once again, I'll emphasize what other artist have already encourage = draw from life and use ref.. Keep it coming man, peace!

thanks guys, really apritiate it! do any of you know any drawing tutorals, like hair, and other shit like that. Because i see progress in my work, although i haven't posted it in my SB, beause my scanner is dead...Anyways the problem is i dont know what to do with the hair, and sometimes how to draw the body, especially the back.....thanx for the help!
