Hey Zombie! I like the soldier guy up there. You did that from your head? nice nice. Any chance we could get some bigger, more detailed drawings?

Sorry for being absent for so long! Sorry about the portrait Em, didn't look like you much

I guess I should stry doing something more complete and less sketchy but right now I don't have the confidence

Anyways, heres some recent stuff. Bought some fancy pants pencils by Faber-Castell (really expensive! >_<) but I haven't used them yet. Try them next time Oh, yeah, here's another portrait of a friend named Nicci and some zombie-stuff:

Heya Zombie! Hehe, well, seems like you at least know what's not right with your stuff :p

But it's not just the legs though. The torso as a whole seems a leeeeetle bit on the short side. And the forearms are short as well, probably because you drew the legs first and drew the arms in relation to that. Well, I don't know, that's usually how I draw anyway :p

Remember perspective! The leg in front cannot be the same size or smaller as the leg in the back! (Also, face! hehe, proportions on the face isn't quite right either, seems to me)

So, since you asked me to push you, I want MORE MORE MORE! Gimme two more figure drawings before the day is out, or you won't get milk with cookies for breakfast anymore! :p

I don't do any paintings at all, Dabaers. I don't really like working with colour but I guess I'll need to do that sometime.

Oh, this is all I could come up with in such a short notice :/ Thanks for motivating me, couch

Hey! This is some great improvement! Those figures in the last post are way way better than the first page; the girl actually looks like a female instead of a male with breasts. (not meaning to be critical, just complimenting your change)

Hey zombie, a lot of new stuff since I last visited. Good to see your keeping yourself busy. I like the heads back in post # 124, they turned out nice. I can see your anatomy is improving, still want to see you push you value more. Have you experimented with charcoal at all ? I think you might find it nice to work with shading. Don't be afraid to go dark. Keep pushing yourself.

I realy like the mix of free sketch and ref sketch in your work. A good method to check out what you are interested in and work on with a ref to make it better. Keep on going.

The proportions are much better on your characters. I know you said you dont want to try a less sketchy piece because you dont have the confidence, but you should give it a shot, and youll get that confidence from doing so. Good progress overall. Keep it up.

Hey, good to see you guys again, Yautja and Gosu! As usual I'm a little to careful when it comes to shading, I'll have to overcome that.

Yea, thanks woo4! I'll be keping an eye on your sketchbook.

Thanks for cheering me on Envisor and coming back to my sketchbook. You're improving like crazy over at your SB

Anyhow, tried to do a realy big guy. Would like to finnish him and draw his entire figure and maybe even work on some kind of background to make something complete for once Regretfully, I drew him in a corner of the paper and there wasn't enough space to draw more than this. I used reference for his arm but that's about it. I'll update more tonight!

Hey Zombie, that guy in post #138 is great. He's one of your stronger pieces I think. You should push the values out on this guy. Give him some form, feels flat.

Hey dude. The constant anatomy studies are neat. Do you go through stages? Some of your stuff looks a little stiff, but it's what I'm trying to work on too, loosening up my sketches. I tend to feel like Biro Pen (Ballpoint) is good for loose sketching. Keep 'em coming.

All the anatomy studies are looking good, maybe you should look into some facial structure studies to develop some good solid planes to make your faces look less flat. Keep drawing!

Hey zombie, nice to see your back. I see a lot of improvement in your recent post. Keep hammering away at those values, and anatomy. Like the subject matter... haha is that boob head guy the one from little nicky?

Thanks guys Oh, ha-ha, I had completely forgot about the boob-head in Little Nicky. It was just something I come up with (What was I thinking?!)

Hey Zombie, you know... as sick and twisted and cool as your creations are, I'd like for you to go out and buy a 'set' of pencils and use some darker tones in your drawings. I think it will help bring them off the page a little more and give them some depth as well. I see you started to use the darker lineart in the latest upload. Much better to look at!

Other than that, awesome work! Keep crankin em out!! You're stuff looks like a cross between Resident Evil and the 6th disc of Berserk (which totally depressed me btw).

so check this out, zombie lover
google resident evil or, or movie props that involve decaying humans....they have those site out there, and they are the tits.

nice stuff, try not to make too much up, anyone who has studied anatomy can tell. plus knowing the inner working of the body is the best way to create a fantasic undead creature.
