Choob - Fernanda made a color sketch of the girl's face, she has a particular way of painting them that i really enjoy. i then took it and started destroying it then the psd went back and forth a couple of times. pretty organic workflow, nothing serious.

That collab in #1287 is awesome. Your pencil work reminds me of my own style, except yours is better... makes me want to start a pencil sketchbook. There's something more bold and decisive about your rendering and brushwork in your recent work, I love it. Did you use any 3D program for the 'Tower Bridge' or is that just photoshop?

Wow, last two updates are really great. This incredible and very thin transformer of a plane is delicious!
I had a question about this.
How do you manage to get all the perspective right within all the tiny details (roof tiles, wooden boards on the bridge connected to the tower, all the blocks etc)? When I try to use perspective lines for so many and so small details I just end up with a messy jumble of lines

Gadbury - i'm actually just recovering my pencils, i took a 2 year long break from pencils and drew only in ballpoint pens, i think it builds your confidence a bit because there's no room for error and you can't really erase the mistakes. I didn't use any 3D for the tower bridge, i wanted to do so initially but maya didn't start for some reason so i just drew it all from scratch on livestream.
Kerah - getting those things right is just a question of practicing your perspective. Also, usually if the main blocks are correct in perspective, everything you add that abides to the same rules will be correct. As for all the little details, there are some textures used, the roof tiles and rocks are textures on top of which i added a pass of render / wear / painting for integration, much like the regular pipeline for game assets.
