    Hey Mack,
Looking good so far boss. Watch the fingers though, they're looking like they might go wonky on you. I look forward to the color up.
Cheers and congrats on the stars!

Here is a logo i designed a few months ago for a company in Saskatchewan. I designed the buffalo, which was placed on top of the image.

Hey! I've now seen your stuff both here and on the Wizards of the Coast boards, so I figured it was time to comment. I totally dig your stuff, especially the crazy-bloodthirsty monk. But I mean, it's all really awesome. Totally including Marv

What's bothering me on the finished vagabond is the amount of detail put into the garden, lot's of little plants and fireflies are distracting. His shirt also has way too many wrinkles, they don't follow the pull of gravity or his pose.

    armando- thanks for the input.

    TheGnoll- thanks.

Here is a W.I.P. progress shot of my next illo. Lots of things have to still be twicked. When i always scan my work i start seeing all the mistakes.T
So anyways, I love the whole "lone wolf" (no pun intended) swordsman idea.

Hey Mack, sorry for the long route i took to get back here.
Looks like you've been up to all sorts of work. Damn!
Let me take it from the top...
    Marv...haha..who doesn't like marv?
Good rendition...will you push this to a Milleresque b+w? or just leave the pencils? The one thing i'd look out for though...is that there are two rows of 3 bandages in a row. It looks to orderly not enough randomness to the wounds, also they flatten his face out.

Ok...with the vagabond...great set up boss..the only thing you might want to try is to take this go completely grayscale with it..and see if you can push the background down and reinforce the light he is standing in. Right now it seems like it's all a very even tonal treatment.
A very rough nasty retone on your pic..but just to demonstrate the contrast between the two.
    Name: img2118461336ccab395.jpg
Views: 2085
Size: 167.8 KB
Also added a rucksack for him to give him more of a vagabond look.
The folds were a bit too over complicated.

    The logos are frickin great!
    no crits there..nothing but love.

I'll tell you what..that bird is not as crappy as you think.
An extra toe on each foot and you'd be golden.. I like the more
graphic way you handled shading and light on it.

This last image is looking good so far. Can't wait to see it further on.
    Cheers man.
    Mike

Great start to a SB. Your pencil renderings are very solid, love the iconic Arnie pose! BUT, your inks are what really grab my attention - they seem to have alot more life to them than your pencils.

Anyway nice work and look forward to seeing more.

Newbs-thanks. Yeah the fingers are a tad short. I am still working out the mistakes.

Helzon- Mike thanks you for all your crits. I made some changes to the Vagabond piece ( does it look out of focus?). I really have to remember to greyscale stuff a i go along to view the values better. I updated the Marv piece and the bird as well. It's weird how the bandages came out like that, nothing like a fresh pair of eyes. I was tired and accidentally flattened all my layers and saved the piece. AARRRHH!!! Evn though i had a second piece for these sorts of things. Man i'm tired!

    Kamikazebob-thank you.

SEVANS- thanks. I love working with inks and pencils, and i agree i think my inks are stronger. Thanks for verifying it for me.

zacharybear- thanks. I do my best.

    minjarr-thank you. No problem.

Wow, this is a great sketchbook! love it !

hehe, I'm not to tell you, but I think you should work on forms! especially when it comes down to colors.. you tend to put the values a little.. everywhere ^^

Last one is sick though! great work!

A quick mini-sketch just for fun. The weather here is is very overcast and depressing, it's been like that for a few weeks. Very un-inspiring. I need some sun to play sports and rejuvenate my creativity. Feels like i'm running on empty creatively. I need to move to a warm country!!LOL!!!

Here are some skethces/thumbs for a concept piece. A giant heart/organ that needs to be artificially pumped.
