wow, it's been too long since i've updated this...
thanks guys for all the comments! artcenter is a good school but, as my old teacher said ,"the school doesn't make you an artist, you'll have to do that yourself."

i'm working on a lot of characters right now so, here's one..

still working on this tablet... kinda needs a bit of getting used to.

well, the one at home is a 13x19 wacom tablet and the one i have right now is about 10.4 in. it's a tablet pc from hp/compaq and it has a wacom stylus. it's pretty cool to have while on meetings and travels. it does get hot sometimes because of the 1gig ram but, other than that, it's pretty much a sb-sub.

actually, the one that i did above didn't have the updated wacom drivers so it couldn't change the pressure sensitivity on it. all of the lines are pretty much the same width unless i changed the brush size.

i'm hoping to play around with this a bit more tho..

! Really cool stuff. I'd love to see more coloured work though as I think your sb is a bit low on colour.

Very nice lines. I like your manga-esque style. I enjoy it when people develop there own look rather than just copying one to make it look like a specific style.

Post tons and tons, its the best way I know to improve.

Yeah the lines the form, n everything else all seem to look really fluid and well thought out, im really liking that Taurus picture, (Jealously rears its ugly head) lol

sorry guys for the lack of updates!! I've been busy with my portfolio and ... quitting my job by the end of this month! thanks for all the comments too! I really appreciate it.

nice start i really like your bike designs, cool style. - only crit would be to try mixing all your color together with some ambient light . in your last digital, some blue would would have been cool on the skin and shadows , because right now it seems to float in the environement. Youv got it pretty well on the first girl

yeah.. i didn't really think of the color for the last digital one. i'm still trying to get the proportions right since the old sketch of that was way off. i think i was going for style back then.. i'm trying to have all my characters with decent proportions so they look "believable" like comics.

and thanks rayk, i'm just trying to finish that thing up so i could color it. i'm looking into a top and front view of it too.

thanks factorzero, you should try having some cool color schemes for your art too. try not to go comicbook style all the time.

I dont' pretend to know anything about colors, but I think it would be good to pump up the contrast in your values. All your colors look to be the same mid tone, try getting some darks and lights in there

Sweet spontaneous lines, very confident stuff. I love the way you imbue everything with strong perspective. Oh and the reflections on the bull horns are amazing.
