really nice stuff here man, clean line work, and the bull sketch/paint is pretty freakin awesome, but my only crit about it is when you changed the arms you messed up, because the first makes look like he is turning a sharp corner. But the second looks like he about to back hand something, i dont know i think it looked better before you switched the arms. Thats all hope that helps you.

thanks Boom!, currently i don't know what my style is.. if there is any. i'll try to stay close to anatomy too.. i haven't done that in a while.
Envisor, thanks for the comment! i try to make my characters jump out of the paper sometimes. i've noticed that there's more shapes and linking stuff that i have to deal with in order to pull that off.
Thanks designboot!
Kingshaj, you're too kind.
Ermac, i know i know... i think i'll change it back and try to make the arms work. the issue before was kinda trashed because the whole arm didn't fit on the paper. i think i'll try to extend the paper to make it fit and add some more pressure to that turn.![]()
you know, as i'm reading all of your crits, it makes me want to draw and get some good pieces out! unfortunately, i can't right now because i'm still at work.also, it's so hard for me to get started at home since i get so tired after traffic and all at night. i just don't know how those other guys do it. do they have a MAD drive of creativity inside them that pushes them so hard?!
pld: i think i really need that right now.
i gotta put away my psp, ps2, and warcraft and start cranking out some art!
i'll try and post some new stuff later tonight.
I'm looking for work!
Hey man, this is some nice work here. I love your pencil sketches that you took photos of. A nice scanner would come in handy and is more than worth the price, I would recommend it. Other than that I would really like to see more color work. It seems you have a good eye for that though not much is represented here. I can't wait to see more of your work. Keep it up!
Nice sb man! Chick in the first post has a kond of Red Monika swagger to her. Love the energy in the bull sketch too. Definitely will be back for more so keep posting.
I like your style. Sorry that you lost your sketchbook. I like the top picture the best.

thanks mrbobmarley!
thanks pigeonkill. i actually found my sketchbook again.
here's another update.![]()

Hey shidoken.
Your characters pack a good deal of personality. I'm not sure if this was already mentioned, but at the moment I reckon you can do more head/face practices as I think your head proportions in particular can use more consistency.
Looking forward to updates on that adorable bull.
Really nice stuff - your linework is super clean and you have a great grasp of foreshortening. Your figures achieve a real sense of volume. Looking forward to more from ya.

from artcenter, eh? damn...wish i had gone there. i feel like i've been growing backwards and here you are with a solid foundation to do no more than surge forward. kudos to you! and yes, you should be at a game company or something to that degree.
cheers and keep bringin' the power.

I think if you had blades of grass on the bottom of the painting you can better gauge the charging bull guy. or motion blur to that extent. Just a thought. HURRAY you found your sketchbook.

thanks jeri, i've been working on my heads for a while. i think i know what you mean by the proportions.
thanks oishiiniku! i'd like to see your new stuff too!
thanks ashab!
redehlert, the school doesn't make the artist. it's the artist that makes the work. your stuff is way too good for anyone's good. keep doing what you're doing man. you're progressing nicely.
pigeonkill, i took your suggestion and made an update on the bull.. i've just been looking at this way too long. thanks for the comment tho!

I really like the dynamic flow of your figures and creatures. They look like they are moving. Very cool stuff. Also a good use of camera angles and perspective.

Hey, glad you found your sketchbook. Like losing an arm when all the doodled ideas disappear.
You really have a great drawing style, fluid and graceful. I admire your creature sketches alot. The alien is very cool.
Will be checking every update to see how the alien head colors out. It's going to be killer I can tell.
