    Future city

A promo-ish painting done for Mutineers' Moon. I should've thought about the scene a bit more before starting, but instead I just sort of punched and kicked it into shape. This is about 40 or so years in the future.

Very solid concept. The lighting is very convincing. I think the figures could stand to be set apart more from the background. Also, if it's the jets that the figures are looking at, perhaps make them more prominent, and knock the building back a little. If the building is the focus, then the jets could be done away with.

Is there something wrong with the perspective maybe (guy &girl standing)?

    Never mind, beautiful concept!!

Nice one and me like the colours too.

Blackhand, good suggestions. I may revisit this piece again at some point, and I'll keep that in mind.

darkcult, yeah, the perspective got away from me the more I worked on the piece. I should've fixed that sort of stuff before hand.

The jets, trails of smoke could be the focus but looks a little forced onto the empty areas of sky in compostion wise. It could look a little more natural if some buildings were to overlap some of it.
The guy seems to be leaning but looks like his about to fall off. The lighting is good and I really like the concept.
I think the perspective is weak spot of this, could be set more accurate upon.

The guy leaning looks like he's falling. and some small perspective probs others have mentioned.

    I really like this!

not bad at all..just that the perspective is alil off..perhaps its the angle u choose to capture..if its a lower angle..it'll makes a more dynamic view of the background and 3 point perspective is in use..nicely composited though
    keep it going..

Yeah, this painting is cool, I think the time you spend on the design of everything you have in this piece really paid off. Nice stuff.

Thanks for the critiques. I'm listening to all of it, both good and bad. This piece was definitely challenging for me, but I learned a lot from it. I'll see what I can cook up next.

    deluxepaint, congrats to you too!
