Wow, you're hot and so is your art . Marry me.
Seriously, lines and forms are super elegant - this one especially
    http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...4&d=1171600300

Colors I think suffer a bit from temperature, you seem to go to white with everything. Generally, and just a 'loose' rule - if you are going to go to white on your warm colors then your cools should go the other way and vice versa. Also try out instead going towards 100s and 100b (top right of the color palette) as you add light, this is kind of like sunlight where all colors increase intensity.

Edit: It's your birthday?! Happy birthday! 22? Just getting used to those number myself

So um yeah. Here's a random hot asian guy drawing whose face I messed up a little but hopefully the beauty will override the tiny mistakes muahaha - aaaand ... I am TOTALLY struggling with this book cover re-design for battle royale. Go literal? Battle? If a battle, who's battling? Simple? Iconic? Blah. I have more sketches but not digital yet ... here's one that I'm a little blah on (don't mind the crudeness at the moment..) ~ and it's a little late so I'll post more later.

    plz plz plz help me out. My brain hurts - you'd think BR would be an awesome thing to illustrate. *_*;

    But... enjoy!

    Total boob?
Nah, I'm just getting lazier and lazier as I type. 100% Saturation and 100% Brightness is in the top right of the color palette in Photoshop. This is the most intense color you can get. In Painter it's the right corner of the color triangle. Ok, let me know if that made any sense this time.

Battle Royal, hmm. Kind of a hard thing to illustrate maybe. Pick a favorite scene and run with it, but do thumbnails. Lot's of them and don't spend more than 5 minutes on each, they only have to make sense to you.

As some have speculated it is the deceptively close proximity of "n" and "b" that turn men into total oervets.

Last two are great no crits on either of them.
Like the energy in the second one, it also works kinda well as a design on it's own.
Like Tom suggested, but out some thumbs for it. Go whack and have fun.

Idiot Apathy> Yeah.. it seemed like a cute word to me at the time. And thanks, that does make more sense - I'll try and put it to good use.
    Sepulverture> thanks !
Brendan N> haha well thanks a lot. I actually thumbed a lot more, and I have one that my teacher and friends (and I of course) all agreed on - so I'll be trying to pull that one out sometime today.

    drunknmunky> aw, thanks!
    FactorZero> thanks. :]

Here's another wip of the Battle Royale novel cover - I like this better - and it's the one everyone kind of agreed on in class. Face prior reference from a friend - maybe the lips be big? Just need to get the reference for hands and axe n stuff - and collar. Oh and get the right expression from the nose/lips ! :>

This is one beautiful sketchbook! Great stuff, really!
A lil crit, only since ya asked, could be that the lips here are a bit to pushed upwards and pouty. Might be that the shadow benieth the lower lip is a bit high... But really, couldn't give any real crits ya know. I love the style the first battle royale was done in, hope you do about the same thing with thisone.
I'll def drop by again, sweet SB!
