I agree, the pencil work is great, and the other too.

Very fluid line work, thanks for the inspiration

I'd like to see more color studies from life, especially if you can get a variety of lighting setups.

nice start to a sketchbook so far Are you talking about adding texture in the last piece you have posted here? If so, and you're working in Painter (and it looks like it), don't be afraid to mess with the paper textures and different mediums... you can even create your own paper textures, and it really really helps! (I have a sp in my sketchbook that uses both of these painter techniques... try using chalk to bring out textures) but be patient tho... it took me a while to figure out what I was doing... and I still don't really know what I'm doing! lol!

    but yeah... good luck!!

Thank you very much for all your thoughtful comments and suggestions! Just wanted to put up a wip (acrylic 16x20) that I did in class today. ^_^; Blah, some anatomical proportion problems... namely in the guy's head --; but it's getting there. Wish me luck on finishing~! haha

Oh and BohemianChaos: ah! i never thought to do the chalk and stuff as texture, haha, thanks for suggesting it! I'll post up more wip of this image when I get a chance!

yo naomi, nice stuff you have here.
with the WIP piece (guy with girl emerging from blackness), don't know what you intend to do with it, but the bright colors of the characters (left side) seem weird when put with the darker and more unsaturated right side of the page. i think it needs something, some way to unify the two sides. your works are really good, i hope you keep improving and find what you're lookin for. take care dude!
