Please help me find this "brush"-pen.

Thank you for reading this post.

I really miss this brushpen. It's a fantastic tool, and I've never found anything that works as good as this. I was hoping that you people could help me find it.

Thanks for looking. Please give me links to the product or names of manufacturer. Any clue is good.

    Hope you can help me

I suggest the company PENTEL. they make awesome brushpens, maybe even the one you're looking for.

Well the best I could find is something called a Colour Shaper or Rubber Tipped Shaping Tool. They look like Brushes and might be a passable substitute but doesn't fit your silhouette completely. Good luck in your search.

Well, I haven't tried pentel yet, but Copic has a multiliner with a brush tip. Sakura Pigma also has a similar brush pen. These look like regular pens, and have insta-drying, non bleeding ink.

The Copic's tip seems to hold up a little better than the sakura one, which loses it's crisp edge fairly fast. Plus you can buy replacement nibs and ink refills for the Copic.. so it's the one I would recommend.

    I suggest This brush pen : http://www.dickblick.com/zz207/46/
it is not the pen you are looking for, but it is awesome with thin lines and thick, you can get super thin. it is a bit pricey, but I gotta say I'm in love with it.
here is an example of how thin and thick you can get with it, one of my drawings.

I have one of these. Well, had, I gave it up after a few months because I kept having to order new ones. The hairs on the tip kept spreading and I kept losing that thin line I was loving so much.

How have you kept that from happening? I keep the pen in its own case, and I'm always really gentle with it, but it just kept happening. I went through three pens before calling it quits.

hmm I don't know. I guess I don't spread the bristles too often, I use alot more thin lines then fat thick ones. I also have a really light touch when I do the thin line, could get more consistent and even with them though, but I think a lot of it is about control. Or maybe they have just made better bristle since you have used them, maybe. I aslo don't use my pen everyday so that could be part of the wear, is useing it all the time. Though I plan on trying other brands just for the hell of it to see if their might be a brand that is cheaper but just as good. I think I will try those pentel pen next.

Also one other thing. I found when you put in a new ink Cartridge with those pen, the ink tends to come out heavy at first. so I wait a bit before I use it again, so the ink isn't so fresh. Weird I know.

I remember those pens! The rubber tip was great, more responsive than a felt tip without the splaying problems of an actual brush. Unfortunately, I havent seen them in ages and don't remember who made them, so I guess I'm not much help.

    Thanks everyone
A shame that no one can find it.
I guess I'll write an angry-mail to pentel.
Is it ok if I link to this thread?
